Camplify Owner Awards 2025: The owners behind the adventures
)
A look back at the people who make our community extraordinary
The year 2025 is behind us – and with it, thousands of journeys that all started with a yes. The yes of an owner who handed over the keys for a family's first motorhome adventure. For a couple's road trip to the Scottish Highlands. For a spontaneous Glastonbury weekend. For a month-long tour of Europe.
Now, at the start of 2026, it's time to pause and look back. Not at numbers and statistics – but at the stories and the people behind them.
The Camplify Owner Awards 2025 are our way of celebrating some of these people. Owners who caught our attention over the past year. Who show what this community is really about: sharing freedom, building trust, making adventures happen.
We sat down with all our winners and runners-up to hear about their journeys, their surprises, their best tips, and the moments that make sharing their vans so special. Here are their stories.
Owner of the Year: Daniel Miller
What started with a single motorhome has grown into something much bigger – not just in fleet size, but in impact.
Daniel from Knutsford, Cheshire, has built a reputation for going above and beyond. Whether it's a last-minute booking rescue or helping first-timers feel confident behind the wheel, he treats every hire like it matters. Because it does.
"Every trip is someone's holiday. Their escape. Their adventure. That's not something to take lightly."
His approach? Meticulous preparation, honest communication, and being available when hirers need him – even if that's at 10pm on a Friday.
Runner-up Owner of the Year: Nick Harris
Nick from Camberley, Surrey, proves that attention to detail makes all the difference.
With a background in customer service, Nick brings a professional touch to everything he does – from his listing photos to his handover process. But it's the personal touches that hirers remember.
"I want people to feel like they're borrowing a mate's van, not renting from a faceless company. That means being there, being helpful, and actually caring about their trip."
His secret weapon? A comprehensive welcome pack and the kind of local knowledge that turns a good trip into a great one.
New Owner of the Year: Kelly Vipond
Kelly from Devon joined Camplify in July 2024 – and hit the ground running.
With a beautifully converted Citroën Relay and a genuine passion for helping others experience van life, Kelly has quickly become a standout in the community. Dog-friendly, thoughtfully equipped, and with the kind of warm welcome that makes hirers feel at home from the first message.
"I remember how nervous I was the first time I hired a campervan. I try to give my hirers the confidence I wish I'd had."
In less than a year, Kelly has built a loyal following of repeat hirers – proof that you don't need years of experience to make a real impact.
Legend Award: Juan & Teresa Fouche

Seven years. Countless handovers. A reputation built on consistency, warmth, and genuine care.
Juan and Teresa from Reading have been part of the Camplify community since the early days. Originally from South Africa, they brought their family motorhome to the platform with a simple philosophy: treat every hirer like a guest, not a customer.
"We've seen families come back year after year. We've watched their children grow up. That's not a transaction – that's a relationship."
Their secret? Being themselves. No scripts, no corporate speak. Just two people who love motorhoming and want others to experience the same joy.

Listing of the Year: Mike Jones
With over 108 bookings and counting, Mike from Camberley knows how to create a listing that converts.
His VW California is one of the most popular vans on the platform – and it's not hard to see why. Stunning photos, a detailed description, and the kind of thoughtful touches that make hirers click "Book Now" without hesitation.
But it's not just about the listing. It's about what happens after.
"My wife Sarah adds handmade touches to every hire. Little things that show we care. That's what people remember."
Mike's tip for other owners? "Don't just describe your van. Show people the experience they'll have."

What these owners have in common
Five winners, five different stories. But a few things keep coming up:
They're available. Whether it's 10pm or mid-trip, these owners are there when their hirers need them.
They listen. Welcome packs, local tips, thoughtful touches – the best ideas come from paying attention to what hirers actually want.
They take their time. No rushed handovers. No cutting corners. These owners explain everything properly – even if questions get asked twice.
They love what they do. Whether it's the first hire or the hundredth, the enthusiasm is still there.
They share freedom. At the end of the day, it's not about vehicles. It's about giving someone else the feeling of being able to go anywhere.
Got a motorhome that's sitting on the driveway?
Every one of these owners started somewhere – with one van, one idea, and the courage to give it a go.
Kelly puts it simply: "I remember how nervous I was. Now I can't imagine not doing this."
And Juan & Teresa: "The joy you get from seeing families create memories in your van – there's nothing quite like it."
