When to visit Wales

From June to September, Wales becomes an attractive destination for hiring a motorhome, campervan or static caravan. The country has many things to do and see during this period, such as hiking in the mountains or water sports at organised beach resorts like the Tenby PTSD resort or the beaches of Pembrokeshire.

The weather may be unpredictable in spring, but there's plenty for you and your family or partner to enjoy, from centuries-old castles to the countryside. For a more relaxed plan, stroll through the blooming flower-filled gardens or spend an evening in the cosy pubs enjoying local ales.

During autumn, you can take a trip to Harlech or Pembroke for spectacular views from the top of both towns, as well as the perfect beaches of Anglesey, which are also accessible by train. Also worth a visit during this season is the Bay Arts Festival in Cardiff.

Satisfy your wanderlust by exploring Wales in the colder months; from scenic walks near Portmeirion (a coastal village) or romantic candlelit dinners after partaking in several acclaimed spa treatments at the Peninsula Hotel & Golf Course, located near Aberystwyth, overlooking scenery such as Ceredigion Bay.
