The communication regarding the hiring of the caravan was fine but the cleanliness of the van was awful - the floor was sticky on arrival, the fridge was filthy, the bedding lay poked like it had been left on from last season, the crockery was dirty. The gas bottle connections were rusty and we couldnt get the gas heater working and the carbon monoxide detector was not working! Not the best experience

The caravan itself was great - we slept well, it's very spacious for a 2 berth, with a good sized bathroom and big fridge. Chris who delivered the van couldn't have been more lovely and sorted the issues we had as best as he could. The gas canister was empty so he returned home and replaced it, and the battery didn't work, so he brought another back. It was a fuse that had gone that he was unable to fix so we were unable to have water or electric for the duration (we didn't have electric hook up) but we were given a small refund due to this, and we didn't push for it to be resolved as we were only away for 3 days . The chemicals for the toilet also ran out within a few hours. I also realise now that the description says no crockery/cutlery - I hadn't read this beforehand which was my error, but don't expect it to be stocked as the cutlery drawer is empty, no glasses, just 3 plastic plates, 1 bowl and 3 plastic mugs - so you do need to take your own things. It's a nice caravan, just make sure you take your own things with you, and check that everything has been set up properly before the owners leave.

The van was clean and smelt nice and the bed was comfy. However none of the taps or shower worked. I contacted the owner who said a previous hire had damaged one tap and I couldn't have attached the water right. I have now been told there is a claim against me. I will be disputing this and see someone else has had the same issue! The van was also not collected on time when it needed to be off the showground so this was not a great over all experience sadly

Smoke detector: I found it in a drawer. I had to buy the 9v battery for it. Kitchen tap: Water was not connected at delivery. I set up the water barrel and as soon as I switched on the pump, the kitchen cold tap started leaking. When pump turned off, it continuing trickling for 10 mins. So I had to keep the pump off most of the week. Post hire I received an email from Camplify to say the owner was claiming I damaged the tap and expected me to pay for repair. What upset me was that she did not mention that she thought the broken tap was my fault when I reported it on delivery day nor when she collected the caravan. (I am rejecting the claim, as the tap was not working from the start of hire.) (I did not use the shower, toilet, cooker, heater or water heater, so cannot comment on them.) Apart from the above, the caravan was fine.

Rosie called on the day the to say one of the window was cracked, therefore had to be taped up, from the last hire. There was also a window with a note.. do not open. We were given the awning at no extra cost. We didn't use the shower or toilet because these were provided on the campsite we were on. However we did have to keep spraying and using disinfectant in the toilet/shower as there was a smell coming from it. The caravan needed airing.
