Regarding the communication, everything was OK, pick up and drop off arrangements were quite good, all necessary information was provided swiftly when requested, Guissepe was nice and helpful. The van itself had everything you need for off grid travels in highlands. Even though we hadnt have much sun, we never had battery issues, the gas water heater worked well, we did not use a diesel heater as the warm duvet (there were two to be picked from) was warm enough and weve been comfy even when temperatures inside van dropped to 15 C. The van has plety of storage, as for the bed, my 185 cm was probably around the max to sleep comfortably due to its dimensions. Driving of the van was quite nice, given the dimensions and weight, we had no troubles at single track roads, up hills, nor parking spaces. There were some cosmetic issues as the van is not new, but the value/price ratio is really good. We would hire again, so we can recommend the Pheonex!

Had an amazing time! Has everything you could need in terms of cooking facilities and bathroom facilities. More than enough space inside for moving around, storage and sleeping. The van is also great to drive! The owners are brilliant at communicating and helping with anything you might need, I would recommend to everyone :)

The van had everything you need and was clean. For a really tall person the bed might not be the best, but it was ok for us. Pick-up and communication with Giuseppe was easy and pleasant. We definitely recommend this van for touring Scotland.

While our holiday was incredible, the van was a major disappointment. Firstly, just two days before our trip, we were informed that the vans lock wasnt working properly. We said we where happy to pick it up a day later in order to give the owner time to get it fixed but he said no not an option and offered to reimburse us if we wanted to get it fixed ourselves, but this was not the kind of responsibility we expected to handle on our vacation. We then were told to pick it up after 12 PM, which meant we lost half of the first day we paid for. We also paid extra for bedding, only to find the sheets thrown on top of the bed and the owner told us to make it ourselvesnot exactly the welcoming start we had hoped for. From the start, the van showed signs of neglect and was in dire need of TLC and a deep clean. Small details were overlookedlike the fact that a kettle, shown in all promotional images, wasnt provided. We were given a sponge to wash up but no tea towel, so we had to source one ourselves. The sinks water system was poorly maintained, using a bottle system that was dirty and leaked. As we drove, dirty water spilled onto the floor, making it constantly wet and sticky. One of the most frustrating issues was the beeping alarm that persisted throughout our entire trip. It was triggered by the rear door, which couldnt lock properly. When we contacted Giuseppe about this, his solution was, once again, for us to take the van to get serviced and he would reimburse us. This suggestion didnt take into account the time and effort required from us as foreign travelers in a different country to fix a problem that should have been addressed before handing over the van. In summary, the van was far from the condition it was advertised in. The lack of attention to detail, poor maintenance, and insufficient customer service turned what should have been a seamless part of our trip into a source of frustration. We hope future renters have a better experience, but we would strongly advise the owners to address these issues and improve the quality of their service.

The van was great but wouldn't reccomend for first time campers (like us). Guiseppe was very helpful, he answered all our questions very quickly. There were some things that would make our trip more comfortable, like more space for clothes etc. We stayed with our daughter in the van and building the bed every day was a bit anoying. Guiseppe tolded us clearly how everything worked but maybe a small manual in the van would have been helpfull. In the end everything worked out but it could have been easier. Unfortunately the awning wasn't useable so when it rained we couldn't sit outside but we were lucky with the weather and it only rained 2 days. In the end we had a great vacation and would definitly book this van again!

The Van was perfect for our road trip around Scotland. It had everything you need, lots of electrical sockets/USB ports, indoor gas stove, great table/bed set up and lots of storage. It is a little home on wheels. Owner was fantastic, very helpful, fast to reply and always willing to help. Would recommend this van and also the owner to anyone

We had a great holiday. Bed was very comfortable and all the cool gadgets in the van worked great. We were able to cook some super meals and everything went smoothly.

I cannot recommend hiring Sparrow enough. The owner(s) were as supportive, helpful and understanding as they could be. Responded fast and were always on hand if there was any problems. The van itself.wow! It was absolutely perfect for what we needed for 4/5 days wild camping. I would not change one thing about the van. Even those with factory built high spec campers were a little jealous of how cost and well thought out the camper was.
