The Bernician

Perfect van for a couple or couple with one child. Professionally converted campervan which is an absolute joy to drive and ideal for remote "off-grid" holidays or campsites. The Bernician is fully equipped for full independent van-life away from the crowds. The van is equipped with a two-ring gas hob, sink with electric pump operated tap, as well as all the necessary cooking utensils and dining set. A portable chemical toilet neatly fits under the sleeping area - and can easily be placed outdoors at night if needed. Electricity is supplied via a leisure battery which will come fully charged with each rental. The van can be plugged into a mains power outlet when on a campsite, or via a standard household mains supply using the adaptor provided. The Leisure battery will also be charging whilst the van is being driven. There is a 3/4 size "Rock n Roll" bed which also serves as two rear seats fully fitted with MOT-compliant seat belts. Pillows and a base sheet are provided for both the bed and the sleeping area in the pop-top roof which is suitable for one adult/ child. Please be advised that you will need to bring your own sleeping bags. The roof bed is easily accessible by standing on the swivel-passenger seat and has two side mesh windows as well as a large PVC window on the front. The van does approx 30mpg on regular unleaded petrol - and you will find the ride extremely smooth and comfortable with the added advantage of cruise control for longer journeys. The cabin has apple/ android car play and an efficient air-conditioning system. In winter or on colder nights a small gas-heater is provided for your comfort. The Bernician is located close to the M6 east of Carlisle and is ideal for anyone wishing to explore the Eden Valley, Lake District National Park, Northumberland National Park or for longer journeys over the nearby border into Scotland.
