Bertie is rather special. Not only does he have everything you need for a fun packed adventure or relaxing holiday – it is also very competitively priced, as the price includes the insurance and breakdown cover! (Subject to normal insurance criteria ) Bertie has all the modern features you would expect : 1 - Cab air-con 2 - Panoramic rooflight over cab 3 - Large fridge/freezer 4 - Smart TV 12V/240V 5 - Solar panel 6 - Front swivel seats 7 - Reversing camera 8 - Cycle rack for 2 9 - Microwave oven ……. Where Bertie stands out is there is no more making up of beds every day. There is a spacious fixed double bed in the rear with storage both below and above, with access to the washroom/toilet. A convenient screen partition can be put around the bed for that extra privacy. There is an easy pulldown full-size double bed – to provide sleeping for 2 adults and goes back up in the morning. No more re-arranging seating area to make the bed! The spacious lounge area can accommodate up to 6 adults with a large round adjustable dining table. So guests can join you for a meal and drinks. There are 4 comfortable camping chairs and outside table included and we have a sizeable awning for hire ( for a small extra cost) to complete your holiday experience. Propane gas is included in the hire price.

Bertie has fully comprehensive insurance and breakdown cover included in the daily rates.

Hiring rules

No smoking
Off road not allowed
Pets at motorhome owner's discretion.
Wind out awning must be wound back in prior to adverse/windy weather arises, and before leaving motorhome.
Standard pick up/drop off time is 12 noon, but may be negotiable.
As I am using my own insurance, I will need to be in touch prior to pick up to do a driving licence check and will need 2 proofs of address ( within 3 months of hire)
Hirers are welcome to take the motorhome up to 1500 miles with mileage included in the normal booking price. After 1500 miles, you will be charged .30p per mile at the completion of your trip which will be taken from your bond.
Bertie will leave with a full tank of diesel, please return with a full tank.
Please empty waste water and cassette from toilet prior to return.

Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Service fee: £40.00

Bond

The owner of this listing provides their own hiring insurance. The accident excess for this van is £750.00 per damage event and is managed by Camplify. The owner may carry out their own additional driving licence and security checks.

Cancellations

Flexible

Cancel up to 7 days before the start of the booking and receive a full refund less the cancellation processing fee.
Cancel between 7 days and 48 hours before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit.
Cancellations less than 48 hours before start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

Bertie the van was absolutely fantastic. Really spacious, well equipped and incredibly comfortable. I have hired other vans before but this one was next level. Ian was also a pleasure to deal with. Really helpful and great with communications and advice. Highly recommended. Thanks for everything Ian (and Bertie)

Would not hesitate to recommend this van to anyone. Communication was great, Ian went through everything in a really thorough handover & was very accommodating on return time when we got stuck in traffic on the way home. The van itself was clean & tidy, the layout was great, the beds were comfy & there were little extras like water & milk in the fridge. 10/10!

The Handover with Ian was both comprehensive and welcoming, Bertie drives well and we spent a comfortable 3 nights and four day's away in the van.
