Power - capable of being completely off grid with 2 massive solar panels and multiple leisure batteries that power all the many internal usb plugs and 240v sockets. You can go day after day without ever needing to hook up, using laptops, heating water etc. Kitchen - the spacious worktop includes 2 burners linked to a large gas tank below. There is a chunky compressor fridge/freezer and a large sink for washing up which has hot water from the boiler and plentiful supply from the 80litres capacity in the van. A fiamma maxvent fan above the kitchen area works to ventilate the space when you are cooking. Sleeping - The lower bed folds out from the rear lounge area and can be extended for those who are not vertically challenged which makes it incredibly comfortable 1.6m wide by 1.9m long. The upper bed pushes to the back of the van to give extra headroom in the rear lounge and then slides out when it's time to sleep, at 1.6m long by 1.6m wide this bed will sleep 2 smaller ones side by side or one longer one on the diagonal. All have thick comfy IKEA foam mattresses. Curtains and window covers make sure it's nice and dark for sleeping into the morning early light. The cab bed is a foam mattress cut to shape to fit across the front seats and a person up to 1.7m can comfortanly stretch out straight in it with curtains all around the front windows to make it super cosy. The additional camp bed for the aisle is 55cm wide and 190cm long. Shower and Toilet - you'll be thankful to hear there is a toilet on board so no need to brave the cold air when you're in need at night! The shower is in this space too with water kept nice and hot by the boiler, with enough for 5 or 6 showers before you need to think about refilling. Air vents including a maxvent fan will pull out any steamy air. Lounge and Dining - The front chairs can be turned around and a table can be propped up for dining/working, however it's collapsible to ensure there's plenty of space inside to move around. There's also a more relaxed option to eat on the sofas of the rear lounge area where there's lights and the diesel heater doing it's magic. Whatever vibe you're feeling! Storage - inside there are too many cubby holes, drawers and cupboards to list for storing everything you could possibly need. Outside the bike rack on the tow bar to the rear can fit 4 bikes. The Fiamma awning for the side of the van gives a lovely space for shade with the kitchen worktop extending to give more table space that can be used outside and the interior tables able to be used outside with the chairs provided. Driving - couldn't be easier with tis being a modern volkswagen van with all the additional features, such as cruise control, parking sensors, electric parking brake and hill start assist. Also an amazing soundsystem and android/iPhone auto which plugs your phone in and let's you use apps on the head unit including GPS. Miles per gallon is also fantastic for a van of this size. This modern van is also Euro 6 emissions so it complies with all ultra low emissions zones (ULEZ) in the cities of the UK and Europe, including London. No unnecessary extra charges like most other vans! Added bonus to the cheaper fuel bill! Fully comprehensive insurance and breakdown cover for UK and EU including onward travel and hotel costs as required is all included in the price! Not that you will ever need it with a van modern enough to still be covered under VW warranty who keep it fully serviced each year for us! This is a gorgeous van that really has thought of everything. You will not be disappointed! From the outside it could even pass for a standard workvan so you can be stealthy if you need! Also some goodies can be included in the van on request, just let us know what you wish to have in the van! - BBQ / fire pit - Badminton net - Futon - Pillows / Duvets - Sheets - Additional chairs - Outdoor table - Rugs - Tarpaulin - 3 x hammocks - 1 with hammock holder and others with straps to hang from trees without damaging them. 1 hammock is extra large and suitable for 2 people. - 5 man inflatable dinghy - very comfy, like a big sofa with oars - 3 man inflatable canoe. Advanced dropstitch design and very stable even with 3 people and some luggage in there. - Climbing equipment can be rented in addition to the van if you're looking to get on the rocks. Bouldering mat or ropes harnesses and quickdraws etc.

• 150 miles/day included as standard. Please get in touch if you wish to go further than this and we can agree an additional fee based on the distance.
• When you make your enquiry please let me know a little bit about yourselves, details of your trip holiday, what times you wish to pick up / drop off if possible.
• Also, it's worth bearing in mind that I will need two proofs of address in the form of bank statement and utility bill (gas, water, electric, broadband, phone or council tax) alongside your driving license. These can be provided prior to the start of the booking. The address of these proofs must be the same as the address on your license (if you need to change the address on your license its real quick and free on the DVLA website). If the address cannot be changed on your license for whatever reason, let me know and we can work it out with my insurance company.

The owner of this listing provides their own hiring insurance. The accident excess for this van is £750.00 per damage event and is managed by Camplify. The owner may carry out their own additional driving licence and security checks.

  Good had a breakdown but we managed to get it fixed

  Christopher was super nice and flexible with pickup and drop off and let me leave my car parked there which was helpful. The van was well thought out and equipped with absolutely everything that we needed to be comfortable. I cooked huge dinners for a whole campsite and it was cosy and not too noisy with the heater on at night. Have recommended to all my camping buddies as he has several other nice vans to rent and really knows his stuff and has kitted them out with the best equipment, so these are vans which have everything you could ever need to live off grid, and are well maintained and unlikely to break down. Thanks for a great holiday!

  We had an awesome trip with 2kids and 2adults around the UK in rainy September! Frederick the crafty super van was perfect, the boys loved the adventure and it was a great intro to "van life"! Chris was super helpful, responsive and straightforward to deal with. We had a couple of queries about the van and the heating along the way, but Chris was always very responsive and went out if his way to problem solve and assist. Van delivery and pickup was also very helpful for us on a tight itinerary, and it was our good fortune to get to meet Chris, receive the van briefing directly and then see him off as he cycled back to the train station. It's clear that Chris takes pride in his rentals and knows the vehicles well having worked on them with his own hands! The van is quite big and long, but no trouble to drive as long as you take a moment to adjust to the size and always err on the side of caution. Anyone with experience driving a van, MPV, estate etc should be good to go. Cheers Chris!
