About Mildred The Unique Glampervan (Oxfordshire)

Mildred is a retro 1990's campervan who used to be a passenger transport vehicle. She was converted a long time ago, but we have completely refurbished her by hand giving her a quirky country feel. She has 6.5 feet headroom, running cold water, a fridge with a small box freezer to keep the beer and bubbly cold and a really comfy seating area which converts in minutes to a comfy bed! A luxurious mattress topper adds to the comfort. Everything you need to cook is there including stylish copper pans and kettle. There is a leisure battery and electric hook up for the lights, fridge etc. Outdoor table and chairs included.
Porta-loo available for hire £10.
Basically, Mildred has everything you need for a great break!

To me, Mildred is a strong and reliable van. My girlfriend and I had our first Caravan Holiday experienced with Mildred. We spent 15 days with Mildred, travelling from London to Wales, to continue to the West and the East coast of Scotland. Our expectations were quite high to see as much as we can from both Wales and Scotland. With limited time, we, however, had a great holiday and really enjoyed the time with Mildred. The bed is pretty much comfortable and finds almost everything (duvets) we needed to keep ourselves warm. A sink with running water and the gas cooker had two knobs and pretty new, we sometimes find it difficult to have both works at the same time, as one of them always went off again, otherwise, the kitchen :-) has everything one needs. We were able to cook anytime we wanted.
We will definitely recommend Mildred to anyone doing not much distance and short term travelling. For longer journeys, we can recommend him too if you have enough time. It is perfect for a slow road and no rush travel. Mildred is on motorways quite noisy and fuel consumption is little more than usual. As well the clutch is a bit difficult to handle and it needs some time to get used to it.
Trish and Paul are lovely and very supportive people who patiently explained us everything and answered all our questions, thank you a lot Trish and Paul

This was a really lovely van conversion, which the owner kindly brought to our conference camp site for a small fee. Everything we needed was on board, and all worked perfectly well.
The only thing to note if you are tall, as we both are, is that the bed is a bit shy of 6 foot long but we worked around that and it was comfortable.
Head height was 65 or more.
I would recommend the van to anyone wanting a country style conversion with a great relaxed feel.
