No Cotswold visit is complete without a trip to Stratford-upon-Avon for high tea at Anne Hathaway's cottage or marvel at the incredible scenery along the Cotswolds Way, a waymarked walking trail stretching over 100 miles from Bath to Chipping Campden. The views will blow you away, and the peaceful nature of this beloved UK National Park will have you coming back for more.
STAY AT: Cotswold Hills Country Park, Chipping Norton
Open twelve months of the year, Cotswold Hills Country Park is located on the outskirts of Chipping Norton and acts as an excellent base for exploring the area. Powered sites make for a comfortable stay, and the campsite provides everything you need, including kitchen and lounge facilities, modern heated showers, as well as recycling and disposal facilities.

2. Explore the Jurassic Coast

You might not find any dinosaurs here, but your exploration efforts will be rewarded with world-renowned scenery, fantastic beaches, and enough activity to keep the little ones busy for the whole weekend. Check out highlights along the coast, such as Exmouth, the gateway town and home to the oldest holiday resort in Devon. It is a paradise for families with stretches of golden sand and rock pools to explore. Be sure to stop by the striking chalk cliffs of Beer, and view the Jurassic Coast from above out at Golden Cap if you need a good walk and a tranquil summit panorama. For family-friendly and free activities, you can't miss a walk along Avon Beach or visit the Fine Foundation Chesil Beach Centre, run by the Dorset Wildlife Trust.
STAY AT: Exmouth Country Lodge and Prattshayes Campsite
This campsite is part of the Exmouth water sports site and provides great access to Exmouth and the Jurassic Coast. Explore the beaches nearby or spend a day on the water with the team at Exmouth water sports paddleboarding, windsurfing, or even kayaking before retreating for supper. Enjoy grass touring and camping pitches, electric hook-ups, and a full toilet and shower block.

3. Admire the Spectacular Peak District

The Peak District National Park is one of Britain's best-kept secrets. From magnificent scenes over Ladybower and Derwent Damns to the majestic Chatsworth House and the dramatic landscapes that will unfold during a walking tour of the countryside. The area does not disappoint those who visit and will entice you back for a deeper look at its offerings after your short stay. You can hike, cycle, meander and eat your way around this region with plenty of short to medium-length trails right on your doorstep. If relaxation and views from your pitch sound like the dream escape, plus walking trails and a cycle route right on your doorstep, book a night in Bakewell.

4. Climb high in Snowdonia

Are you looking to get active this summer break? Wales is an excellent choice, no matter the season. Swap city life for Snowdonia National Park magic and discover your next best adventure; home to the highest mountains, a network of trials and craggy peaks. Strap up and strap in for a wild rock climbing adventure with the aptly named Rock Climbing Company that runs a full range of rock climbing and mountain skill courses, from taster lessons to abseiling and scrambling. If you plan to summit Mount Snowdon, visit between June and October and allow 6 to 8 hours to complete. Take a stroll through Caernarfon Castles or Portmeirion for a European-inspired aesthetic. Check out the waterfalls in Conwy, and pack your hiking boots for a weekend of outdoor fun.

Wild camping isn't legally permitted in Wales, but we found the next best thing. A stay at Snowdonia Base Camp is the ideal location for the wild ones. For peace, quiet, and fire pits, this campsite is an excellent base for your adventures in the park. Wake up to spectacular uninterrupted views towards Mt.
