1. Brighton Caravan and Motorhome Club Site

The closest to the city of all Brighton campsites for motorhomes, Brighton Caravan and Motorhome Club Site is just 2.2 miles to Brighton Pier. Sightseeing is simple from here: take the No 47 or 52 bus 10 minutes’ walk away to arrive at the pier, then hop on the Volks Railway from there to Brighton Marina.

The park comes with all the amenities you’d expect from a Club site, including play areas, wifi and a disabled-access shower room. It’s perfect for motorhomers too, with a drive-over waste disposal point, electric hook-up, gas sales and a motorhome service point.

2. The Barn Caravan Park

This West Sussex caravan and motorhome park seven miles from Brighton is a top pick if you’re looking for a peaceful stay with all amenities to hand. Visitor numbers are carefully managed by The Barn’s dedicated team to avoid overcrowding, while the award-winning facilities include a play area, free hot water and facilities for barbecues and picnics.

The Barn’s location is first-rate: it’s the only campsite on the southern England coastline between Brighton and Worthing (3.5 miles), and is under a mile from the nearest beach. The beach and waterside pub of Shoreham-by-Sea are 2.5 miles east.

A non-profit charity-run campsite at the foot of the South Downs, Southdown Way Camping and Caravan Park offers fully accessible stays in open countryside. This is one of our favourite Brighton campsites for motorhomes - and not just for the brilliant views!

A major aim of the team is to ensure the campsite and its facilities are accessible to guests who are disabled. Its setting is excellent, close to local villages and just under 11 miles from Brighton, and its modern amenities include baby changing facilities and wheelchair-accessible bathrooms.

  • On the edge of the historical villages of Keymer, Hassocks and Ditchling

4. Burgess Hill – Lone Oak Farm

Get back to basics close to Brighton at our second club site. The Camping and Caravanning Club. Burgess Hill – Lone Oak Farm is a Club Certificated Site (CS). It is a small, privately run campsite with just five pitches for caravans and motorhomes. Park up here for a peaceful setting in green countryside and a motorhome area in a spacious field surrounded by mature hedges.

This is one of the best Brighton campsites for motorhomes if you’re an animal lover. The camping ground is dog friendly and has easy access to local walks. To top it off, there’s even an ostrich on site too!

  • Wildlife haven – spot rabbits and squirrels in the surrounding fields

The last of our Brighton motorhome campsites is another serene back to basics site. And it’s great for families! Pear Tree Farm is a roomy family-run campsite 20 minutes’ drive from Brighton, on a 12-acre site home to alpacas, goats, turkeys, a peacock and Shetland ponies.

Guests can buy help to feed the ducks and buy fresh eggs laid by the farm’s free-range hens. For other supplies, Hurstpierpoint is under three miles away and Henfield 3.5.
