There’s plenty more to see and do in the local area, including the National Trust site Castle Drogo two miles away and the Two Moors Way within easy walking distance.
A footpath from the site gives direct walking access to a farm shop, café and cookery school. There’s a shop on site too, plus a dog walking area, campers’ room and plenty of amenities including a motorhome service area and a laundry.

Settle down at Sunnymead Farm between the two surf towns, within eight miles of the sheltered cove at Combe Martin to the east. The campsite has pitches on three roomy fields, and access to a local path that links to plenty of walking on coastal footpaths.

Head west for more surfing at Croyde Bay and a stay at Freshwell Camping, just a two-minute walk from the entrance to Croyde Beach and with a full view of the beach from the site.
The campsite is well set up for hikers too: Freshwell Camping is close to the headland of Baggy Point, a subsection of the Combe Martin to Marsland stretch of the path. Staff and facilities are available on site 24/7.
NB: Freshwell Camping accepts only smaller campervans; contact them before booking if you want to confirm your van size is suitable.
