1. Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door – Durdle Door Holiday Park

Set on the beautiful Lulworth Estate, this holiday park overlooks Durdle Door, the famous Dorset stone arch jutting out over the sea. Book a sea view campervan pitch at the back of the park, just by the car park for Durdle Door, for the best spot. Pitches are unallocated, so park up where you like! The site also has adventure play areas for kids.

One of the most beloved campervan sites in Dorset, Higher Moor Farm Campsite has actually won Best UK Campsite 2021 among many other awards. Family run for over 40 years, the owners pride themselves on its top-notch facilities and amenities.
The farm’s a few miles from Weymouth’s lovely sandy beach and six miles from famous Chesil Beach, plus just under 20 minutes’ drive from watersports at Portland Harbour. All sizes of campervans are welcome and there’s loads to do for all ages on site and off.

3. Isle of Portland – Sweet Hill Farm

Fancy a Dorset island stay? Make for the four-mile long Isle of Portland in the English Channel. This is Dorset’s most southerly point, joined to the mainland by Chesil Beach, and home of Portland Harbour, one of the biggest man made harbours in the world. Sweet Hill Farm offers “almost wild” camping, in a beautiful and peaceful setting on private land. It’s a wildlife haven with zero light pollution, where you can spot kestrels and owls by day and lie back to stargaze at night. A riding school is on site.

4. Bridport/West Bay – Golden Cap Holiday Park

Another award winner and one of the most scenic campervan sites in Dorset, five-star Golden Cap Holiday Park is in a prime Dorset location right next to Seatown Beach, privately owned by the park. It’s surrounded by 2,000 acres of National Trust land and is a hiking and wildlife haven in the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Three village pubs are within a short walk.

Also near the New Forest is Back of Beyond Touring Park, an adults-only site with over 100 pitches set over 30 acres of peaceful countryside. One of the most peaceful campervan sites in Dorset, this adults-only park of ancient ash and oak woodland is four miles from Wimborne and within walking distance of Holt village and its traditional pub. It is also well placed for Poole and Bournemouth, each within a half-hour drive. Plus, Dapplewood is dog friendly!

Smedmore Caravan Site is in the grounds of a private country estate which covers 1,800 acres in the Dorset AONB running down to the Jurassic Coast.
