Meet Sarah, Dan & motorhome Coco: Camplify stars
)
Meet new Camplify members, Sarah and Dan (and their motorhome Coco - of course!)
Joining Camplify this year, Sarah and Dan are looking forward to sharing Coco, their 5-berth motorhome, complete with all the creature comforts, with other holidaymakers (and even their furry friends!)

With bookings already rolling in, we caught up with the recent parents ahead of the summer season. Read on to hear more about their lockdown driveway mini breaks with their baby daughter and Chihuahua, fave local campsites and must-have road trip essentials.
Tell us about your passion for motorhome holidays?
Coco is our third motorhome, each time we have invested more when we have realised what layouts we like and what is important to us, such as a sociable dining area and large comfy beds.
We have loved taking our motorhomes on long holidays, short breaks and even day trips to the beach. We decided to hire Coco out as we had a number of friends asking if they could use Coco and we realised that lots of people would like the opportunity to explore the UK too.
Who’s in your camping crew?

When we go away we always take our Chihuahua Hurricane, he loves the outdoors, but also the luxury of a motorhome! We had our first child, Chloe, in the first lockdown, so she has only managed one motorhome trip with us, but we are so excited to go on more adventures with her.
We have however had plenty of ‘mini breaks’ on the drive this last few months to get her used to the motorhome way of life!
Tell us about your hiring plans?
This is our first season hiring with Camplify, so we’re really looking forward to seeing how it goes. We’ve already had such a lovely mix of bookings come through - from families taking longer breaks to explore the country, a group of friends walking the Three Peaks to raise money for Mind and Kendall Calling festival-goers.
We love holidays in the UK, so whilst we will use our motorhome a lot, Camplify enables us to recoup some of our costs. We are always looking to the future so if it goes well maybe one day we will have a small fleet!
We have found Camplify brilliant, the support we had from the outset was amazing, Ann (from Customer Success) talked us through everything and just had so much great advice! We then received our first booking a week later and we have not looked back since.
Why do you think Coco is proving so popular?

We think Coco, our motorhome, is proving popular because of our stunning location; we are based in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales in Richmond and with great transport links we are perfect for trips to Yorkshire, The Lake District and Scotland! The motorhome is also a comfortable size for a family to explore in, with a kitchen, shower and bathroom, you can really have a family adventure in her.
Can you share some of your favourite campsites within a 2-3 hour radius of North Yorkshire?
Derwentwater Camping and Caravan Clubsite in Keswick is beautifully located in the Lake District with stunning walks.
Edinburgh Caravan and Motorhome Club Siteis only 4 miles from Edinburgh City Centre, so you can explore everything that the city has to offer and go back to your motorhome in the evening.
York Rowntree Park Caravan and Motorhome Club Site is ideally located to explore York, though it is incredibly hard to get into as it is located on the river banks of York City Centre.
Hillside Caravan Park in Thirsk is beautifully maintained with lots of beautiful wildlife on your doorstep.
Where’s next on your UK travel bucket list, and why?
We would love to do the North Coast 500, the beaches just look incredible! We have travelled in Scotland a bit but never ventured that far up North!
Any advice for first-time campers?
Embrace the cosy snugness of a motorhome. The pace of life is just a whole lot slower, so pack board games, books and old dvds and just really enjoy a bit of time away from it all. Even if the weather is terrible you can still have a lovely day in a motorhome and the rain on the roof is such a lovely sound.
Top 3 essential road trip packing items
Snacks! Motorhome snacks are an absolute essential!
Phone Chargers, we recently went away without ours by accident and the freedom was nice but it was not ideal.
Flip flops for the showers.
What song is top of your road trip playlist?
It's so hard to pick one song as we listen to a wide variety of music and in the motorhome we enjoy a podcast or audiobook, but if we had to just pick one song it would probably be anything by Zero 7.
If Sarah and Dan’s fave camping spots have got you itching to head on an adventure, you can book Coco the motorhome. Or perhaps you’ve got your own van, and you want to learn more on how to rent your van out with Camplify.
