Factors influencing the cost of campervan hire in Scotland

Long-term hire

Ask about this if planning a longer trip – many van owners offer discounts for longer hires.

Season

Spring and autumn/winter are great travelling times if you’re on a budget, as prices usually go up in the high season.

Minimum hire

Many vans have a hire period of at least 4-5 days. If you’re looking for a shorter trip, just filter your search results by date and browse the filtered listings.

Booking and service fees

Most campervan rental companies also charge a booking fee (Camplify applies a 15% booking fee to all bookings). Many hire services add a service fee to the hire charge. Hire through Camplify if this is a concern, as many of our listings don’t include a service fee at all.

Location fee

Many of our campervans can be delivered to a location of your choice. If there’s an extra fee for this, the listing will make it clear.

Insurance and breakdown cover

Not a problem with Camplify! All our vans are comprehensively insured against accidents and damage while on hire, and we offer 24/7 breakdown cover from the RAC too.
