Did you know Wales has its very own Everest Base Camp? Well, sort of. Llyn Gwynant is Snowdon’s basecamp, home to Snowdon, Wales's tallest mountain, and the best place to stay if you are thinking of tackling one of the six hiking trails to the summit.

Nestled in a wooded valley you will find the Llyn Gwynant campsite. You can swim in the lake, boat, or head straight up Snowdon from the site.
