Camplify is the UK's largest community of caravan owners hiring out their own touring caravans. More choice in more places, real vans with real reviews from other families, and an owner who knows the caravan and can tow it to your pitch and set it up for you.
No tow car and no towing experience needed. Most caravan owners on Camplify will tow the van to your holiday park, level it, hook up the power and water and roll out the awning, then come back and pack it down. It is the part a depot fleet cannot do.
Browse touring caravans with real bunks, a separate parents' bed, a kitchen and an awning, from the south coast up to Scotland. Interior photos show the layout before you book, so you know exactly what you are getting.
Every Camplify booking includes insurance as standard, with roadside assistance behind you. A refundable security deposit, usually around £1,000, is shown on the booking summary before you pay and is only drawn on in the event of damage.
Owners set their own daily rate, so prices vary by touring caravan, season and location. What you see on the booking screen is what you pay.
Live listings of touring caravans across the UK, from family vans with bunks to easy-living layouts for two. Browse the full range with the caravan filter.

The owner tows it, you just arrive
No tow car and no towing experience needed. Most owners tow the caravan to your holiday park, level it, hook up the power and water and roll out the awning, then come back and pack it down at the end. You turn up to a holiday already set up. It is the part a depot fleet cannot do.

A family base at the holiday park
Bunks for the kids, a real bed for the parents, an awning for the wet afternoons, and a playground a few pitches over. Set up once and the holiday park becomes home base for the week, with the beach or the hills just down the road.
)
Bring the dog
More than 400 of the caravans on Camplify are dog-friendly, so the dog comes too. No kennel, no guilt, just one more happy face along for the family holiday.
)
A family touring caravan gives everyone their own corner. Kids in the bunks reading by torchlight, one parent cooking under the awning, the other walking back from the shower block, and the kids already off making friends at the next pitch. Most Camplify caravan trips in the UK run about five days, booked a couple of months ahead, and the Pembrokeshire and Cornish coasts, North Wales and the Lake District are where the families head.
Set up once and the holiday park becomes home base. A swim in the morning, the beach or the fells in the afternoon, dinner back at the van, and the same view out the door for as long as you booked it. When the owner tows it in and sets it up for you, there is no tow bar to learn and nothing to reverse onto a tight pitch; the holiday just starts.

Have your caravan delivered to you
How a delivered, set-up caravan holiday actually works.
)
The caravans on Camplify belong to people who tow and camp in them themselves. Most will tow the van to your holiday park, level it, hook up the power and water, and roll out the awning before you arrive, then come back and pack it down at the end. You turn up to a holiday that is already set up, with no tow bar to learn and nothing to reverse onto a tight pitch.
They know the van and the area too. Which holiday parks have the good playground, the pitches with afternoon shade, the beaches the kids love and the quiet walk past the famous one. Message the owner on the Camplify app with your dates and ask where they would go; the answer comes from someone who has parked that exact caravan on that exact pitch.
Find a caravan and message the ownerDo I need to tow the caravan myself, or can it be delivered?
Most Camplify caravan trips are delivered: the owner tows the van to your holiday park or pitch, levels it, sets it up and collects it at the end, so you never tow and never touch a tow bar. Use the delivered caravans filter to see vans offered this way, and confirm the delivery fee and distance with the owner before you book. Some owners only offer their caravan delivered, which keeps the insurance simple.
What if I want to tow the caravan myself?
Some owners are happy for you to tow, if their listing allows it and you have the right setup: a vehicle with enough towing capacity for the van's loaded weight, an electric brake controller and towing mirrors. The owner walks you through hitching, brakes and loading at pickup. If a listing is delivery-only, that is for insurance reasons, and choosing a delivered caravan skips towing entirely.
What licence do I need for caravan hire in the UK?
For caravan hire in the UK, the licence rules apply only if you tow the caravan yourself, and they depend on weights and when you passed your test: drivers who passed on or after 1 January 1997 can tow up to a 3,500kg combined trailer and towing-vehicle limit on a standard category B licence, which covers most touring caravans, while older licences usually carry higher entitlements. If the owner delivers and sets up the van, no towing licence question arises at all, which is how most people book.
What insurance comes with the caravan?
Every Camplify booking includes insurance as standard, with roadside assistance if something goes wrong. A refundable security deposit, usually around £1,000, is shown on the booking summary before you pay and is only drawn on in the event of damage. Cover differs between delivered hires and tow-it-yourself ones, so the listing and the owner will confirm what applies to your booking.
How does delivery and set-up actually work?
You agree a holiday park or pitch with the owner, and they tow the caravan there, level it, connect the power and water and roll out the awning before you arrive, then return to pack it down at the end. The delivery fee depends on distance and is quoted as a line item before you commit. Our guide to having your caravan delivered to you walks through the whole thing.
Can I bring my dog?
Often, yes. More than 400 of the caravans on Camplify are dog-friendly. Use the dog-friendly filter, check the listing's rules, such as dogs off the beds, and the dog comes along on the family holiday.
How much does it cost to hire a touring caravan?
Owners set their own daily rate, so prices vary by touring caravan, season and location. Delivery, if you choose it, is priced separately by the owner. The booking screen always shows the full total before you pay.
What is the cancellation policy?
Each booking follows the cancellation policy shown on the listing and confirmed at checkout, so you can see the terms before you pay. If your plans change, the policy and any refund are handled through the Camplify app, and you can message the owner there to talk it through.
What is a touring caravan actually like inside?
A touring caravan is a proper room on wheels: a fixed bed or two, often bunks for the kids, a kitchen with a hob and fridge, a dining area that converts to extra beds, and usually a washroom with a loo and shower. The awning adds a covered outdoor room for wet afternoons. Every listing shows interior photos and the sleeping layout, so you know exactly what you are getting before you book.
It is our first caravan trip. Where should we start?
A delivered caravan at a holiday park an hour from home is the easiest possible way to find your feet: set up once, let the kids loose, and you will have the hang of caravan life before the bigger trip. Our first-time hire guide and our guide to having a caravan delivered to you cover the basics.
