Are you and your RV eligible?

• For owners: are you and your vehicle eligible?

  Green light – your vehicle qualifies if:

  Your vehicle is the right type:

  • It's a campervan, motorhome, or a private car fitted with a rooftop tent

  • It's privately owned (or if company-owned, your company has no more than 5 vehicles on Camplify)

  Your vehicle meets these specifications:

  • It's no more than 20 years old

  • Its Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) is 7.5 tonnes or less

  • It's registered in the UK in your name (the Camplify account holder)

  • It has never been declared a total loss (we may ask for written confirmation)

  Your vehicle's value is within limits:

  • Up to £100,000 if your hirers will be aged 25 or older

  • Up to £30,000 if you'll accept hirers aged 21-24

  You can provide these documents:

  • UK vehicle registration document (V5C) in your name

  • Valid MOT certificate

  • Proof of your existing private insurance policy on the vehicle

  If your vehicle is leased:

  • You've informed your leasing company that you're hiring it out on Camplify

  Platform limits:

  • You have no more than 5 vehicles listed on Camplify

  ---

  Red light – your vehicle is not eligible if:

  • It's older than 20 years

  • Its Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) exceeds 7.5 tonnes

  • It's not registered in the UK in your name

  • It has previously been declared a total loss

  • Its value exceeds £100,000 (or £30,000 if you're accepting younger hirers)

  • You cannot provide the required documentation (V5C, MOT, existing private insurance)

  Green light – you qualify if:

  • You are aged 25 or over

  • You are creditworthy, meaning:

    • No bankruptcy

    • No County Court Judgments (CCJs) within the last 3 years

    • You have a stable residential address

  Red light – you do not qualify if:

  • You are under 25 years old

  • You have been declared bankrupt

  • You have any CCJs within the past 3 years

  • You do not have a stable residential address
    

  Important: how you use the vehicle matters

  You're covered if:

  • You're using the RV for personal leisure travel

  • You've told Camplify about any travel outside the UK (a green card will be arranged)

  You're not covered if:

  • You use the RV for hire and reward purposes – this includes work as a taxi driver, courier, sports professional, model, or in the entertainment industry

  • You travel outside the UK for 30 days or more without Allianz approval

  • You travel outside the UK without requesting a green card from Camplify

• For hirers and authorised drivers: are you eligible?

  Green light – you qualify if:

  Your age:

  • You are between 21 and 80 years old

  • If you're aged 21-24, you can only hire vehicles valued at £30,000 or less

  Your driving licence:

  • You hold a valid licence from the UK, EU, EEA, Australia, or New Zealand

  • You have held your licence for at least 2 years

  • You're willing to provide your licence details for verification checks

  Your driving record – convictions:

  • You have no major driving offence convictions in the last 5 years for any of the following offence codes:

    • AC (accident offences)

    • BA (disqualified driver)

    • CD (careless driving)

    • DD (reckless/dangerous driving)

    • DR (drink offences)

    • IN (insurance offences)

    • LC30-50 (licence offences)

    • MS40-90 (miscellaneous offences)

    • UT (unauthorised taking of a vehicle)

  • You have no driving bans

  Your driving record – penalty points:

  • If you're aged 25-80: no more than 6 penalty points in the past 5 years

  • If you're aged 21-24: no more than 3 penalty points in the past 5 years

  Your accident history:

  • If you're aged 25-80: no more than 2 accidents in the past 3 years

  • If you're aged 21-24: no more than 1 accident in the past 3 years

  ---

  Red light – you do not qualify if:

  • You are under 21 or over 80 years old

  • You've held your licence for less than 2 years

  • Your licence is not from the UK, EU, EEA, Australia, or New Zealand

  • You have any major driving offence convictions (listed above) in the last 5 years

  • You have a current or past driving ban

  • Your penalty points exceed the limits for your age group (6 for 25+, 3 for 21-24)

  • Your accident history exceeds the limits for your age group (2 for 25+, 1 for 21-24)
