Great little van that did us proud for 5 nights. Damien couldn't be more friendly or helpful and the van was perfect for our needs. His communication and flexibility from the start was outstanding.

Not good. Grubby inside and out. Sharp metal sticking out, cut myself and tore jeans and a sheet. Power steering feeble, a real workout. Inertia seatbelts not working properly. Got no instructions so couldn't use electrics or chemical toilet or tap/sink. Bottom bunk unusable, slept on floor. Radio has no off switch. Speakers crackle above excessive road noise. Door letting in rain. Key fob stopped working, no manual backup, got locked out and stranded. Owner knew about this beforehand (we sure as heck didn't or we wouldn't have hired). Seemed to want to get it fixed on our time or to cancel our holiday and said he didn't want to engage with us any more. Had to improvise a system to break in every day. No key for diesel cap. At least the engine worked well. Fuel consumption 33 mpg.

This was a homely van with everything needed for a wonderful time away. Damien was really friendly and communicated very quickly to any questions. There was plenty of space in the van and was really comfortable for two friends travelling.

Our experience with the Mervmobile was brief. The weekend in the campervan was bought as a gift for us so we didn't know what to expect. Damien greeted us and showed us everything we needed to know about how to use the van and it's facilities. We are aware that it has been regularly serviced and maintained. But, when we drove it we were not expecting the stiffness of the steering at low speed, how slow it was to get up to speed or the noise of the engine. People who are used to campervans may consider all of this to be normal, especially as it is an older van, but we were not expecting that and agreed that it would not be very relaxing for us to take away for a long drive over three days. Therefore we decided not to take the van away. Damien did his best to accommodate us but we felt it would be best for us not to make use of the campervan. We wish Damien all the best and we know that he will continue to look after his guests very well. Thank you. Naaman and Hannah Bickerstaff
