Hi, I'm Octavia

We really enjoyed our week in this van - it's just as it looks in the pictures. Octi was super communicative and clear on instructions, so we knew what to expect. Pick up and Drop off is easy as you can safely leave your car there - it is stored in quite a rural area to get too. The best thing about the van is raging hot water and a really nice shower, which a large water tank so we could go for a 4 days without having to fill up. There is lots of room for storage and all the basic needs are met!

We originally hired Octavias van for Glastonbury because the listing shows its very close to us in St Albans. In reality it was very awkward for us to get to 13 miles away from St Albans in a remote area between Hitchin and Luton. We had to rely on friends who were also hiring from Octavia to give us a lift. Then drive us back to St Albans so we could load up. The van positives. It was lovely to have a bed, the fridge worked well and the hob was great. The van negatives. In general it needs a lot of tlc. Externally there are many bumps and scratches that havent been fixed. Internally the doors could do with fittings to stop them opening and things falling out during driving. I gave it a clean with anti bac wipes and swept the floor as it didnt look like itd been done. Id also recommend taking your own bedding. Another positive is before we hired the van Octavia does a useful zoom call, during this call Octavia said we could return the van on the Monday after Glastonbury at any time because it wasnt out again and let her know when we knew the time wed be arriving en-route. She was then messaging us saying it was due back at 10am and shes been waiting around for us (even though the tracker clearly showed we were in Somerset) I felt quite gaslit, so Id make sure you have anything like this in writing from her. In terms of instruction on how to operate the van there was no manual or video. Our friend who hired a van at the same time as us was given some really good instruction videos. When I asked for this I was snappily told this is your instruction! Although it was lovely to have a van for Glastonbury I would not hire from Octavia again. It was not value for money.
