Baxter is our beloved 2011 VW 5.1 Campervan. Thanks to the poptop he's a 4 berth holiday machine which we've lovingly upgraded since purchase in 2016, including new stereo (head unit) and speakers. He has three seats up front, and two in the rear, all with three point seatbelts. There is two isofix for childseats in the rear. There is a 3/4 "Rock and Roll bed" in the rear and a smaller bed in the pop top roof (ideal for kids/teens). We will supply memory foam mattress toppers for both beds. Also key - Baxters' Leisure battery is HUGE, coupled with a solar panel this means you can run the fridge / freezer and heater all at once. Baxter's powerful heater runs off the leisure batteries and diesel fuel - meaning you will never be cold in the British summer! A solar panel on the roof keeps the double leisure battery topped up and can run the fridge, heater, lights and charge everything you need easily. Shore power plug in (and 3 pins plugs) also included. Battery charger runs off the solar panel and mains supply so Baxter keeps topped up with power if you do plug in. Baxter is perfectly happy off grid too! There is a full kitchen with running (cold) water and all the cooking essentials (including a stove top cafetiere, tea pot and proper china mugs!), pots, pans and cutlery. Upgrades include: new head unit with android auto and apple car play, new speakers, front and rear parking sensors, leather cab seats, black-out curtains throughout, isofix fitting for two child's seat in rear, solar panel, double memory foam mattresses, custom fitted flooring and carpet, diesel heater with control display, soft close doors, a full suite of LED lighting, Quick Charge 3 USB sockets, two way battery monitor, isolation switch, fusebox, smart shelving and storage system, full seat-belts on rock and roll bed in the rear, LED headlights, decent quality pots (Tefal Ingenio), pans and cutlery - with magnetic storage. Additional information

Baxter is based in North London - near to Tufnell Park and Caledonian Road Tube stations. We can offer parking at no cost for the duration of your booking - this is in our parking bay near our home. Baxter will be full of fuel when you pick him up - please return him full. No big deal if you are not able too - but we will take the cost of filling up out of the security bond. We've plenty of extra bits and pieces which you are welcome to take at no extra cost - we do not pack these as default to give you more space. Please note Baxter **does not** have a toilet. Baxter lives in the M25 and so the ULEZ fee is chargeable (he is on the wrong side of 10 years old). All ULEZ charges will be passed on to the hirer. These are assumed to total £25.00 per hire, and is included as part of the "per booking" fee (which also covers cleaning costs). Any additional ULEZ costs incurred will be recovered from the security bond (ie if the vehicle leaves and re-enters London multiple times during a hire period).

Insurance requirements: Hirer age restricted to 25 70 years; Driving licences restricted to UK, EU, EEA, AU and NZ; No more than 6 points in the past 5 years for nonmajor offences.

Cancellations

Flexible

Cancel up to 7 days before the start of the booking and receive a full refund less the cancellation processing fee.
Cancel between 7 days and 48 hours before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit.
Cancellations less than 48 hours before start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

We had a great time in Baxter. Drove well and had everything you need on board. Alasdair was great and sorted us out with a child seat and a table etc. Would definitely rent again.

We had the loveliest time in Baxter. Perfect for 2 adults and two kids. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a weekend away (comfy bedding, storage and kitchen utensils). Best camping experience so far.
