  We hired this caravan for one week in August and, unfortunately, had several problems. On collection, the caravan was not as advertised: it had multiple dents, visible wear, and one tyre was dangerously underinflated (we had to visit a garage before towing). The handover person, not the owner, acknowledged the existing damage and assured us it would not cause issues, but no record was made. We took our own photographs. During the hire period, the bathroom sink fitting sheared off due to clear metal fatigue. This was not misuse and left us without a usable bathroom sink for the rest of the trip. We reported this on return, bringing back the broken part as evidence. We had highlighted that we were novice caravanners, yet no proper handover or familiarisation was provided. The check-in/check-out procedure required by Camplify was not followed at either end. The person at the collection admitted they did not know anything about the van or how to hitch it, and on return, no inspection was carried out, despite us explaining the issues we had experienced. Later, we unexpectedly received an email complaint alleging scratches down both sides of the caravan with photographs claiming permanent damage. We dispute this strongly. The drivers side never came into contact with obstructions, and the van already had deep panel damage when collected. At most, the nearside may have brushed roadside vegetation on narrow lanes, which is part of normal caravan use though may have required cleaning and polishing. We have asked for documentation for a detailed quotation and actual repair evidence costs, but the matter remains unresolved. This was a disappointing experience. We expected more information, support and communication both before and after the hire, and I would caution future hirers to be fully aware of the caravans condition and to insist that the full Camplify check-in and check-out process is followed and signed off.
