Once a Nomad always a Nomad. I have always had the urge to travel and see the world. I lived and worked in Oman, the Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam as a high school maths teacher. I moved back to Scotland in 2020 and purchased my beloved Mercedes Vito campervan to explore the wonders of Scotland.

I rented this van for NC500. The engine is reliable. It can go through hairpins in Applecross with no problem. The owner was fast to respond to my queries.

We had a great time doing the NC500 + extras in FreeDOM. It's a small vehicle, but that also means you can take it to more places. Unfortunately the battery power didn't work for us but we managed ok without it.

We hired FreeDom to do the NC500 tour. The van was great for this as it's a small enough for some of the single track roads but has good space for 2 people. The van had all equipment we needed. Comms were good with Dom throughout and he gave us detailed info about the van on the day of pick up. Overall very enjoyable experience. Would recommend.

It is difficult to express in words how good this trip was thanks to the good decision to rent this campervan. I think the photos do not reflect the reality. Perfect size for a trip for two people, well isolated from cold and water, super comfortable bed, super warm duvet.... Dominic was flexible and helpful at all times... Highly recommended, 5/5 stars for freeDom
