Hiring rules

• You should be between 25 and 70. You should have no more than 6 points on your license.
• A security deposit of £750.00 is payable preceding the collection of your van, these funds must have cleared before the van can leave Jurassic Campers. This will be returned to you in full, within 7 days of the return, provided the camper is returned on time, undamaged, same amount of fuel it went out with, with a complete inventory and with a satisfactory clean interior and equipment. Jurassic Campers reserves the right to make deductions, these will be made honestly and fairly for making good any damage to the vehicle and equipment that has occurred during your hire of the camper, or for any missing equipment and for the provision of additional cleaning. Should these charges be proved to be greater than the security deposit you will irrevocably agree to pay the extra.
• Unfortunately, our insurance is also not valid for: a) Persons who have been convicted of an offence in connection with the driving of a motor vehicle or motorcycle and/ or have had their licence endorsed or suspended or more than 6 penalty points imposed. Spent convictions, covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act1974 may be disregarded. b) Persons who had their insurance declined and/or renewal refused and/or special insurance terms imposed as a result of claims experience and/or have had their insurance or cover cancelled by any Motor Insurer c) Persons engaged wholly or partly in professional entertainment or professional sports persons. d) Jockeys and persons connected with racing of any sort. e) Undergraduates and/or students under 25 years of age. f) Persons who, whilst driving, have been involved in more than one accident during the past 3 years. g) Foreign Service Personnel other than persons holding a full valid United Kingdom or EU licence for two years or more.
• If you are late it could seriously hamper the next hirer’s holiday therefore we will charge a fee of £25.00 per hour that you are late, that will be retained from your damage deposit if this does happen
• We will require the following documents for both registered drivers as well as a £1.00 security deposit to be paid from the main registered drivers bank account so it is a traceable deposit back to that person.
• Copy of the photo card drivers’ licence (address & ID must be up to date)
• Online licence check – I will need to be provided with the last 8 characters of their driving licence number as well as a check code which they can generate from the following link https://www.gov.uk/viewdrivinglicence
• Two proof of address from separate sources (per driver) dated within the last 3 months. Accepted proofs are:

The owner of this listing provides their own hiring insurance. The accident excess for this van is £750.00 per damage event and is managed by Camplify. The owner may carry out their own additional driving licence and security checks.

  Olive was completely perfect for our trip and of course so fun to be in a vintage VW camper! We were able to cook on the stove and store all our food in the cool box. Jamie and Molly have really thought of everything in terms of kitting her out, for instance bottle opener, tin opener, pasta strainer, large water container for drinking water, a mirror ! The small touches they added were very thoughtful, with a hamper to set us off on our way with hot chocolate, Prosecco, scones, clotted cream, jam and more! They were also really helpful in terms of explaining how everything in the van worked so that our holiday would be as easy as possible. Jamie was also on the end of the phone for any questions we had (and we did have one or two) which we were very grateful for. Olive comes highly recommended!!
