Peter W is our beloved 2011 V W 5.1 Camper van. Thanks to the pop top he's a 4 berth holiday machine which we've lovingly upgraded since purchase in 2015, He has tow swivel seats up front, and two in the rear, all with three point seat belts. There is a 3/4 "Rock and Roll bed" in the rear and a smaller bed in the pop top roof (ideal for kids/teens). We will supply memory foam mattress toppers for both beds. Peter W has a powerful heater which runs off the leisure batteries and fuel - meaning you will never be cold in the British summer! A solar panel on the roof keeps the double leisure battery topped up and can run the fridge, heater, lights and charge everything you need easily. Shore power plug in (and 3 pins plugs) also included. Battery charger runs off the solar panel and mains supply so Peter W keeps topped up with power if you do plug in. Peter W is perfectly happy off grid for a bit of wild camping! There is a full kitchen with running (cold) water and all the cooking essentials (including a stove top cafetiere and proper china mugs!), pots, pans and cutlery. Upgrades include: head up unit, rear parking sensors, black-out curtains throughout, solar panel, double memory foam mattresses, custom fitted flooring, diesel heater with control display, soft close doors, a full suite of LED lighting, Quick Charge 3 USB sockets, two way battery monitor, isolation switch, fuse box, smart shelving and storage system, full seat-belts on rock and roll bed in the rear, LED headlights, decent quality pots pans and cutlery. Hiring rules

  We had booked "Peter" but it was out of action so we got "Lenny Boy" instead, so this is a review of Lenny Boy. We spent 3 nights/ 4 days in the van, on a UK short break. Driving the van was absolutely fine, no problems at all with the drive. There are three seats up front and 2 in the back, so safe to transport 5 people. Setting up was really easy e.g. raising the roof for the pop top. Nick gave us a thorough introduction to the van as we'd not been in one before. It also came with a manual to refer to. The van came with a drawer full of cutlery, chopping boards, cups, bowls, pans, kettle etc, plus washing up liquid and toilet rolls which was handy! There is a gas hob which is easy enough to use, a sink with cold water from a tank in the back (this was quite small and ran out quite quickly and needed to be topped up) and also a pretty decent size fridge. The van does have heating but we didn't need it so can't comment on how that was. There are various cupboards and little cubby holes to store things in as well as a fold out table. There were three of us - two in the pop top bed and one in the main van. The bed "downstairs" comes in three sections - head, body, legs and the head and legs section can angle any way you like, which was great for lounging and watching the sunrise with the back doors open. It also comes with two mattress toppers, one for the roof and one for the main area. The pop top was a good size for two people - one of our group is 6'2" and there was plenty of space up there for someone of that size. You do need to climb on the front seats to get up there, which is worth bearing in mind. The front passenger seats rotate around to face backwards, to form an extra couple of seats in the van which is a cool feature I think. We also used the awning (which has inflatable "poles") which was handy for extra storage and to give a bit more sheltered outdoor space and was pretty easy to put up with the pump that was supplied (check the hose is included to attach to the awning - we had to borrow one from someone as it was missing). All in all, it's a great van and I would hire again. Nick was really nice and informative and everything was all done properly and all above board - doing all the right checks etc. Would recommend :-)

  We had an amazing 3 day trip to N Wales and the van was perfect for my family. Super easy to drive and set up was easy and quick. We would definitely hire again for our next adventure!

  Absolutely brilliant! Nick was world-class in everything and went above and beyond for my trip. There was a mechanical problem with the original van but he found us a replacement almost immediately and fully equipped in with the correct documentation in record time. I was a little bit late with the drop-off but Nick wasn't phased and greeted us upon our return as if we had arrived on time. Brilliant guy, brilliant business.
