Is one looking for an adventure fit for a Queen? We do hereby introduce to you, our most esteemed and gracious camper, Elizabeth. Elizabeth is our illustrious 5-seater, 4/5 sleeper Overland prepared Defender 110 TD5, brand new to the platform. She is ready to reign this summer, and just in time to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee. She has been tried and tested with road trips throughout the UK and Europe, and now she’s ready to be taken on some epic royal road trips throughout the kingdom. Driving a defender is an unforgettable experience, and with Elizabeth, the joy is in the journey. She’s a country girl, preferring jaunts around the grounds of Balmoral or winding lanes over the motorway. And be prepared for the attention she attracts, her majestic presence will draw people in. Elizabeth is dog friendly, so bring your corgis if you please. She is palatial, with a full length standing height Dormobile roof which opens the back up into a light and spacious camper. In the roof there are two pull out bunk beds suitable for adults, princes or princesses and the skylights offer a gorgeous view of the stars. The sofa seat in the back folds down into a double bed and she is equipped with all you will need for your camping adventure from the wine fridge to the kitchen sink; you can even have a shower before bed!! Her Royal Highness has a full side and rear awning to protect you from the elements, and an awning room can be added should you like to add more sleeping and socialising space, or staff quarters. One will find a fridge, and a double gas burner and kitchen sink inside her palatial cabin. Perfect for your royal family. You can choose to go ‘off grid’ as she has full 12v electrics onboard, however she does have an electric plug in with 240v power if you are staying at a campsite. In true Land Rover style there is a simple ‘retro’ entertainment system (dig out those CD’s, roll down the windows and turn the volume up on that fanfare!) and several USB ports are available for charging in the front and the back. There is even a safe for hiding the crown jewels. All rentals will be kitted out for all your camping needs from camping chairs to wine glasses and books (a full kit list can be provided on booking). Insurance and breakdown cover are included for your complete piece of mind. Collection is from close to Junction 26 on the M5, on the Devon / Somerset border. You can leave your car safely with us or, if you want to arrive by public transport, we can arrange to meet you and bring you to Elizabeth with adequate notice. From here you have a great opportunity to explore Dartmoor, Exmoor, Devon, Dorset and Cornwall and all they have to offer. We will be in touch to discuss your rental and any personal requirements that you may have to get the most out of your trip. We will personally meet you and talk you through Elizabeth's operation and any questions you may have about driving a Defender.

Hiring rules

• Pets by prior agreement only
• No naked flames in the vehicle
• No OffRoad driving unless agreed in advance
• You must agree to relax and have fun!
• Insurance
• You must be able to complete the following (all standard for vehicle rentals)
• To be aged between 25 and 75
• To have a minimum of 2 years’ driving experience
• To have a UK/EU driving licence with address displayed (please contact asap if you have an EU licence)
• To provide a DVLA check number
• To provide 2 further proofs of address (1 Utility Bill and 1 other, both with current address and dated within 90 days)
• We also have the following driving licence requirements:
• You have not had your licence suspended for any period within the last three years
• You have not had more than 2 convictions with a maximum of 3 points per conviction
• You have not obtained a BA, DD or UT conviction
• o BA: Disqualified Driver
• o DD: Reckless/ Dangerous Driving
• o UT: Theft or Unauthorised Taking
• We accept the following documents as proof of address:
• Bank statements including estatements
• Mobile phone Bills
• Utility bills
• Council tax bills
• Others can be considered, please contact if you are unsure
• All of the above must be dated within 90 days of the hire start date and all addresses must match the address displayed on the driving licence
• The vehicle includes 100 Miles per day mileage limit.
• Any excess mileage is charged at 40p per mile.
• Pick up is after 3pm on the day the rental starts.
• Drop off time is 11am on the final day of the rental.
• These can often be flexible however, please contact us for more precise times.

• Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

The owner of this listing provides their own hiring insurance. The bond for this van depends on the owner's insurance policy. Please ask the owner for the amount after your booking request. Camplify will charge you up to this amount per damage event on behalf of the owner.
