Pub campsite between St Davids and Milford Haven, a mile from the county capital of Haverfordwest and within easy reach (five miles) of spectacular Pembrokeshire beaches. Although it’s a pub site, this is also perfect for families as the famous Welsh family attractions of Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, Heatherton World of Activities and Oakwood Theme Park are all within 20 miles.

Our second Rising Sun campsite is on the other side of the country, a few miles from the Welsh and English border, and on the eastern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. This is spectacular walking and hiking country – Offa’s Dyke and the Sugarloaf Mountain are close by – and many more activities are available in the national park. Booking is essential for school holidays, weekends and bank holiday weekends.

3. Three Golden Cups Pub and Campsite

This low-impact spacious site sits on Wales’ Heritage Coast close to Porthcawl and Bridgend, half a mile’s walk from the beach at Dunraven Bay with stunning views over the cliffs of Southerndown, Dunraven Bay and the Bristol Channel. All food is home-cooked and can be enjoyed in either the restaurant, sports bar or on the large patio. Dogs are welcome.
