Mam’s van runs on petrol and has a healthy appetite for it — returning around 14 MPG from its 76-litre tank. At current prices, a full tank costs approximately £100.00 and will take you roughly 240 miles. To give a real-world example: a return trip from West Yorkshire to Fort William used around 2.5 tanks. Worth factoring into your hire budget, but with advance planning it’s easy to manage. Please note that Mam's Van recently had some minor damage to the passenger side rear sliding door. A photo has been included. Other minor imperfections will be documented before your rental.

Hiring rules

  • 1. No Smoking
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the campervan to maintain a clean and fresh environment for all guests.
  • 2. Fuel
  • The campervan will be provided with a full tank of fuel at the start of your trip. Please refill the tank before returning it. Additional charges will apply if this condition is not met.
  • 3. Cleaning
  • Help us keep the campervan in excellent condition by returning it clean and tidy.
  • 4. Parking and Road Restrictions
  • The campervan is designed for regular roads, not offroad adventures. Please avoid unpaved roads, rough terrains, or other unauthorized areas. Any damage caused by driving on such surfaces will be the renter’s responsibility.
  • 5. Cooking and Appliances
  • Use the cooking area and appliances responsibly. Turn off all gas, appliances, and lights when leaving the campervan or not in use to ensure safety.
  • 6. Safety
  • Always follow local traffic laws and speed limits.
  • Do not exceed the campervan's weight capacity of 2450kg
  • Ensure all passengers are seated and wearing seat belts while the vehicle is in motion.
  • 8. Breakages or Damage
  • If any accidents, breakages, or damages occur, please notify us immediately. Repairs must be approved before proceeding.
  • 9. Return Policy
  • Please return the campervan on time and to the agreedupon location. Late returns may incur additional fees as specified in your rental agreement.
  • * Pickup: earliest 9am
  • * Dropoff: Latest 9pm
  • 10. Respect for the Campervan
  • This is our holiday home too! Treat the campervan with care and respect, as if it were your own. Misuse, neglect, or failure to follow these rules may result in penalties or deductions from your deposit.
  • Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.
