Claude the Ford is the perfect van for people who like to do A LOT of activities; with a huge garage Claude has plenty of space for all your kit. On our recent trip to the Alps we had space for two mountain bikes, 1 road bike, a stand up paddle board and all the usual camping kit too. At the end of a long day of activities, Claude is also perfect for cooking some decent food, and relaxing. There is plenty of storage for food, and all the kitchen items you need. After booking, we’ll send you our manual, which includes a full inventory of everything we include from corkscrews & card games to picnic blankets & chairs!

Additional information

Claude has a fixed double bed which goes across the van. This means that it is not suitable for anyone taller than 180cm (shy of 6ft), unless you are travelling alone, in which case you can sleep on the diagonal. Note that our “bike rack” is internal bike storage. We can provide mounts for most bike types. If you are not able to bring your own bedding (eg. you are flying in) we can provide bedding & towels for £25.00. We do not charge a service fee (£1.00 is the minimum allowed) as we expect you to bring the van back clean, and use of gas, teabags, washing up liquid etc. is included.

Cancellations

Strict

  • Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 20 and 45 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

We are keen hikers & bikers, with a bit of surfing thrown in. Claude is our second van that we have owned and rented, having upgraded last year to a fixed bed, standing room and a huge garage for our kit! We love exploring the UK in our van, enjoying a mix of wild camping and remote sites.
