Mercedes Vito LWB - Reliable, Comfortable, Easy Welcome to Piper, the ideal campervan for couples who are looking for adventures or perhaps a weekend away. The accommodation sleeps 2 adults and 2 small children, with a double rock and roll bed on the bottom floor and a double bed in the Reimo pop top upstairs, ideal for children (max weight 70 kgs up top). Built around a Mercedes Vito 111 chasis, Piper is reliable, comfortable and easy to drive with a tank range of approximately 450 miles (diesel). She has four seat belts. There is a full kitchen including two gas hobs, a gas grill, electric fridge with small freezer compartment, plus a sink with water pump. Cooking utensils and all plates, dishes, cups, cutlery, four folding chairs and a picnic table are included. The cabin runs on a large (180kWh) Li-Ion service battery that can be charged from a 240v hook up cable that can be plugged into a camping power outlet, or from the solar panel on the roof, or when the engine is running. The campervan is equipped with a 220V inverter. Piper has a Fiamma P35 Pro side awning with attaching Privacy Room which provides a classic closure suitable for spring and summer, simple and quick to assemble (in just 15 minutes!). It consists of a front panel and two side panels, roll-up Crystal glass windows, mosquito net and curtains. A camping toilet and pop up loo tent are available if required.

LEISURE BATTERY AND MAINS POWER In additional to mains hook-up, Piper is fitted with a large (180kWh) Li-Ion service battery. This battery charges when hooked up to a 220V power supply (camping site or 240v three pin plug), from the built in solar panel on the roof, and when the engine is running. REVERSING Piper does NOT have any proximity sensors, or reversing camera, so please take care when reversing. There is a dash cam which has a rear view camera, but best to use good old fashioned eyeballs, and someone outside helping.

Hiring rules

  • Keep the vehicle securely locked with steering wheel lock at all times if left unattended.
  • Ensure that the poptop is lowered and secured firmly when the vehicle is driven.
  • Strictly no smoking in the van.
  • Pets not allowed on beds.
  • Ensure that all equipment provided is returned clean and in good condition.
  • Return the vehicle in a clean condition (part or whole of the security deposit will be retained if additional deep cleaning or repair is required upon return of the vehicle).
  • Return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel (if not, an estimate of the value of replacement fuel will be deducted from the security deposit).
  • Mileage allowance 250 miles per day; 25p per mile charge thereafter.
  • Awning and privacy room must be stowed in high wind.
  • Festivals considered on request.
  • Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Moderate

  • Cancel earlier than 31 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 11 and 30 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit.
  • Cancellations less than 11 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.
