Eachtra (pronounced AKH-tra) is the Irish word for "adventure," and we can't think of a more fitting name for our much-loved VW T6 camper. We're incredibly proud of this van and are excited to share it with others who enjoy exploring as much as we do. Over the years, Eachtra has taken us on some unforgettable journeys, including completing the NC500 and countless road trips around the UK. From peaceful weekends in the countryside to coastal escapes and mountain adventures, it's been a reliable companion every step of the way. The van comfortably sleeps two and has everything you need for a cosy getaway, including an electric hook-up, fridge, sink and all the essentials to make life on the road easy and enjoyable. Whether you're planning your first campervan holiday or a spontaneous weekend away, Eachtra is ready for the journey. It's also been well loved by our two Labradors, who have joined us on many adventures, so we know it's a great choice for anyone travelling with a four-legged companion. This year, we've welcomed our beautiful baby to the family, and while we'd love to be out making more memories in Eachtra, family life means we won't be able to use the van as much as we'd like. Rather than see it sitting on the driveway, we'd love for it to help others create adventures and memories of their own. We genuinely care for this van and hope that everyone who hires Eachtra enjoys it as much as we have. We hope it brings you the same sense of freedom, comfort and adventure that it has brought us over the years.

Hiring rules

  • House Rules
  • Welcome to Eachtra! We hope you enjoy your adventure as much as we have. Please help us look after our camper so it's ready for the next guests.
  • Please treat the van with the same care and respect you would your own.
  • No smoking or vaping inside the van.
  • Please return the van clean and tidy, with all rubbish removed and washing up done.
  • Report any damage or issues as soon as possible – we understand accidents can happen, and we'd much rather know straight away.
  • Please only allow the drivers named on the booking to drive the van.
  • Our camper sleeps 2 people. Please don't exceed the maximum occupancy.
  • Dogs are welcome by prior agreement. We ask that they stay off the upholstery where possible and aren't left unattended in the van.
  • No festivals, offroad driving or track days.
  • Please use the fridge, sink and electrical systems as instructed. We'll happily show you how everything works before you set off.
  • Return the van with the same level of fuel as when you collected it.
  • If using the driveaway awning, please ensure it's packed away dry where possible. If it has to be packed away wet, just let us know so we can dry it out afterwards.
  • Take your time, enjoy the journey and make some wonderful memories!
  • Most importantly, have an amazing trip. We hope Eachtra gives you the same freedom and enjoyment it has given us over the years.
  • Minimum hire: 2 days (3 days on bank holidays).
  • Collection: After 3:00 pm.
  • Return: Before 11:00 am.
  • Pets: Allowed with approval.
  • Mileage: 150 miles per day included, then 20p per extra mile.
  • Hirer must be 21 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Moderate

  • Cancel earlier than 31 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 11 and 30 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit.
  • Cancellations less than 11 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.
