Vanessa is a wonderfully reliable, well-equipped van. She/he/they/it has all your needs covered to allow you to zoom off to your chosen destination. You need only to provide your own bedding, towels, food and bucket to pee in. Van has a pop top roof for more head room (and sleeping) with a wider than average double bed below so easily sleeps up to four people. Van also has a leisure battery, built in hob, sink and fridge. The front double passenger seat swivels round to provide extra room and seating. There is overhead lighting that runs from the leisure battery. We provide: Electric hookup cable Extension lead Up to four chairs Table Small table Crockery Cutlery Cooking utensils Kettle Water containers Blackout window covers Fire extinguisher Carbon monoxide detector Camping lights If you need anything extra, just ask. We may well have it and just forgotten to list it.

Bristol has a clean air zone. Please check your route in and out of Bristol when planning your journey. A permit is £9.00 per day and can be bought on the Bristol City Council website.

  • Insurance requirements: Hirer age restricted to 25 70 years; Driving licences restricted to UK, EU, EEA, AU and NZ; No more than 6 points in the past 5 years for nonmajor offences.
  • Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Moderate

  • Cancel earlier than 31 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 11 and 30 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit.
  • Cancellations less than 11 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    We had a great holiday in this van. Mel was super friendly, thorough and accommodating and it all made for really relaxing feel to the trip. We both loved it.

    I had such a nice weekend in the van in the Lake District. Mel and Tim had great communication and a very thorough tour of the van before I set off. The van was well kitted out, including cooking utensils and good black-out window covers. The bed was comfortable and spacious. Mel and Tim were flexible with timings for pick up and drop off, and said they were always available if any issues. I'd love to use Vanessa again sometime!

    We booked Vanessa for a weekend and have rebooked. Communications were excellent, as was the handover. The van had everything we needed for a great weekend. Definitely would recommend.

    We had a fab trip and loved having a tiny home on wheels. Vanessa had everything we needed and Mel was super friendly and helpful. We really appreciated the ice and loan of a mister on a scorcher of a day. Highly recommended!

I am a mother of two children who refuse to sleep in the van together. We now travel with tent and van. Im currently too tired to put up a tent, hence the vans almost constant availability. Personally, Im looking forward to driving off alone and parking somewhere with a view, sipping (necking) a G&T and going through the puzzle pages of a newspaper. I do though have wonderful memories of the four of us vanning around France for three weeks and regularly driving down to Hillend Campsite (Gower, has a great beach) and Raquerty Farm in Hay, so can thoroughly recommend Vanessa Van Vanventurerer for that too. (The website removes my inverted commas for some reason, changing Im to Im (see!))
