Little Juan!

I designed and built ‘Little Juan’ myself during lockdown in 2020/21 and my girlfriend and I spent 6 months travelling and living in it from September 2022. We are currently in Australia and I want someone else to use him for adventures whilst we are away! The main idea was to really look forward to sleeping in the van, so I made the bed the focal point. Once the extension is added the bed becomes a full size queen and I bought a quality memory foam mattress to ensure comfort. With a unique design (I hate falling down the crack in the middle of most van beds) the bed extension doubles as the back to the bench seat when not in use, and when combined with the passenger swivel seat, creates a comfortable social area for 3-4 people if desired, with a removable table which can be used for cooking on/playing cards or board games. The van has ample storage room below the bed, with additional storage in the overhead cupboards and we have left everything we needed during our trips in the van for you to use. Please note: the solar set up will not support the cool box if you leave it running full time. It will run off the cigarette lighter when the engine is on and we have found that running it for a couple of hours a day is more than enough to keep our food and drinks cool.
