Additional information
Eddie is 4 berth : Perfect for a couple or family with up to two small children. The rear bed is 196cm x 140cm (with tapered corner). The middle bed is assembled from sofa cushions and is 200cm x 127cm. It is parked up near Walton on Thames - usually around a 30min / £30.00-£40.00 Uber from Heathrow / £40.00-£50.00 from central London, or about 30mins by train from Waterloo to Hersham station (then a 5min taxi ride to where Eddie is stored and waiting). Even if you can only get 3G, there's a very good chance (*see note below*) the signal can be amplified to give good enough speeds for most things you would want to do on the internet (besides huge file down/uploads, data heavy streaming, etc). Below I've outlined the main things about 'Eddie' to help answer some potential questions you may have; Comforts: - Permanent 'French' double bed with inner-spring mattress - I would call it 'firm'. (The bed hinges up to access a large storage area underneath) - 'Living' area including folding table (converts to the 2nd double bed). There is enough seating (very cosy) for six people - including front two seats which swivel around to face the living area. - Internal shower, sink, and toilet (chemical cassette type - don't be put off it's really not that bad) Tech: - 4G/5G Wifi system which will pick up and boost regular cellular signals (PLEASE NOTE: No signal = No Wifi). Connect multiple devices. - 200W Solar panels to charge the leisure battery (for 12V low voltage items) - 1600W Power inverter - turns 12V into 240V for low power consumption items like laptops, etc (won't handle hairdryers, etc) - Television (has HDMI input for *YOUR* Fire Stick/ ChromeCast etc) with telescopic roof mounted antenna - Sat Nav - Bluetooth music connection (in fact I've fitted an in-dash unit which is like an Android iPad - you can connect your own phone and/or access music, YouTube, Apps, etc) - Dual reversing cameras (one looks 'out' for highway driving, the other looks 'down' for parking) Accessories included: - Tyre 'Wedges' for levelling the van on sloping pitches/sites - 2 X 6kg gas bottles - 'reasonable' consumption included (for kitchen, hot water, space heater) - 25 metre mains hook-up power cable - Wind break/screen - Small gas BBQ (requires small gas canisters) - 'Fiamma’ universal bike carrier rack for 3 bikes - Camp table - Folding camp chairs X 3 Kitchen: - Sink with folding black glass top to create additional work surface - 3 burner gas hob with folding black glass top to create additional work surface - Gas oven and grill - Microwave (on mains power hookup only) - Toaster (1 electric & 1 gas camping toaster) - Stovetop kettle - 4KW space heating - runs on gas and/or mains electric - throughout including bathrooms - 13L hot water heater (Whale brand) - 95L bar fridge with removable freezer unit (runs on mains power, battery or gas) - 2 saucepans and a small wok - Dinner plates, bread plates, cereal bowls, salad bowls, etc - see photos - utensils and cutlery - see photos General: - 4 x Seat-belted positions - 90L clean/drinking water tank - 70L grey water (waste) tank - Air conditioning in cab area (for when driving) - 6 x 240V sockets - 4 x USB charging ports - Plenty of storage space, including hanging wardrobe - Room divider screen from main area to rear bed/bathroom - LED lights (general + reading lights) - Vanity/makeup area including wall mirror - Opening skylights - Retractable clothes line in bathroom - Insect screen roller blinds - Power steering - Insulated windscreen cover (stops heat, provides privacy at night) - Folding clothes line Optional extras: - message me to discuss/add): - Bed linen, pillows - Towels Security & Practical items: - Small keypad operated safe for valuables - Remote central locking and immobiliser - GPS tracker - Additional key lockbox - Fire extinguisher and Fire blanket - Steering lock - Secondary lock to habitation area door - Spare wheel & tyre - Wheel jack - Camp shovel - Jump cables - Highway emergency kit - A few basic tools Privately owned and only done around 62,000 miles Insurance available by the day from GoBoony. *PETS ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS* - Please message me. Additional charges may be applicable. Sorry no festivals :( Bookings: - Any time of year (but be aware campsite and park closures in the 'off-season') - 5 night minimum Vehicle details: - Peugeot Boxer with Elddis Autoquest 165 conversion - 6-speed manual transmission - 2.2-litre, 110bhp HDi Turbo Diesel - ABS brakes and power steering - Driver-side airbag - Internal Headroom: 6’4″ / 183cm - Overall size - 7.2m/23' 7"L x 2.2m/7'2"W x 2.78m/9'2" H - Unladen Weight - 2938kg - User Payload - 562kg Driver checks will be required: Ages 25 to 75 2 Years minimum driving experience. DVLA licence check code required along with 2 x proof of address per driver. Please contact me if you have any penalty points or incidents/claims within the last 3 years prior to booking. If you have any questions at all, please get in touch. NOTE REGARDING MOBILE SIGNAL & INTERNET: * I have travelled widely around the UK and Scotland and whilst there are certainly 'dead spots' for mobile signal - even in areas where you would expect lighting fast 4G, in general I was able to find and get enough signal for working - emails, web browsing, etc. Of course I CANNOT GUARANTEE you a mobile signal, so please bear that in mind!
