Welcome to Wanda’s page. I’m Steve and I have owned Wanda for around six years and been on many adventures. I have two children who love it and have tried and tested to its limits in particular the time it housed two adults, two children and a large dog for a week in Devon. As the years have gone by I have slowly improved the conversion to bring it up to the modern campervan experience and will continue to do so In the next few years. It can accommodate four people sleeping two on the Rock n roll bed and two in the pop top roof. The pop top is big enough for adults but better suited for children. My children love the roof bed its part of the adventure for them. The van and driving… She is ready for action after undergoing a full respray. Wanda has electric windows and a modern radio which incorporates apple car play and the android alternative. It doesn’t have air conditioning though as most vans of this age don’t. Camping… The front passenger seats can be turned round for a four person seating area in the rear. It has a fold away adjustable table, a fridge that runs off a leisure battery that charges while driving. If you are not travelling the fridge will work for about two days depending on usage and summer conditions. Interior lights, two usb ports and a 12v cigarette lighter socket (also run off the leisure battery). 240v hook up… Supplied are all the relevant leads If you are going to a campsite with electric hook up. This will give you two power points in the back and two extra usb ports. It will also charge the leisure battery while plugged in. Cooking… Supplied is a portable camping stove (with gas), small slow cooker, small George Forman grill, kettle, plates, bowls, mugs, cutlery, collapsible wash bowl, cooking & chopping utensils and chopping board. The van does not have any hot or cold water facilities I have always stayed at places with showers and washing facilities so never really felt the need for it. Sleeping… I can supply the bedding which consists of a double duvet, two sleeping bags and four pillows. I’ve recently had a diesel heater fitted for comfort all year round. It has black out curtains and insulated covers for the front windows for privacy and to make it cozy. I hope that provides you plenty of information to how it all works. I can supply you with an outdoor table and camping chairs (at a small extra cost) I also have plenty of camping gear so if there is anything you require feel free to ask.

Hiring rules

  • * Smoking is not permitted in the vehicle.
  • * Pets will be considered upon application.
  • * No free camping.
  • * No festivals.
  • * No stag or hen parties.
  • * No cooking inside the vehicle.
  • * No off road driving.
  • * Vehicle must be returned clean and tidy. If not a cleaning fee of £25.00 will be incurred.
  • * Vehicle will be provided with a full tank of diesel and must be returned with a full tank.
  • * Any damage to the vehicle must be reported to me immediately.
  • * Any mechanical problems i.e warning lights appear get off the road safely, turn the engine off and call Camplify on 0330 8081811.
  • * A deposit is required within 48hrs of booking approval otherwise it the booking will be cancelled.
  • * Vehicle will be available for collection from 8am.
  • * Vehicle must be returned by 3pm on the return date or may incur a late fee.
  • Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Moderate

  • Cancel earlier than 31 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 11 and 30 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit.
  • Cancellations less than 11 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    What a lovely trip around the lakes we had with Wanda! The van is perfect with everything youll need and handover with Steve was detailed and we felt confident with driving and set up. Would absolutely rent Wanda again and have recommended to our friends as we had such a great time! Thank you Steve and family for sharing Wanda with us for the long weekend. Our daughter absolutely loved it! 10/10 from us

    Right from the moment of booking communication was great replied quickly and answered any question I had. Handover was very in depth which gave me piece of mind once on our way, also Steven comes across friendly which helps, as hiring someone's property is a bit nerve racking so his calm approach helped. As for the actual break away it was fantastic the van drive like a new one everything worked there was no hidden surprises, overall fantastic would recommend hiring Wanda to anyone.
