Betty has been lovingly hand-built and comfortably accommodates two adults on a Tempur mattress bed (1.7m x 1.35m). We are 1.8m and 1.67m and sleep fine. Additionally, the seating is very comfortable and can theoretically sleep one small child. If need further details then please ask. The van features numerous built-in cupboards, including a large one above the cab and another in the garage at the back. Equipped for off-grid living, Betty includes a roof-mounted solar panel, 1500W inverter with two sockets and 12V USB's (C & A) and two large leisure batteries, as well as a diesel heater. The kitchen area is fitted with a two-ring gas hob and a sink. It also comes with a large cool box/fridge. For entertainment, there's a DAB stereo in the front and a separate stereo with speakers in the back that you can connect your mobile to via Bluetooth. There is also a small 12V TV (not smart) which needs to be tuned when you move to a new location. We can't guarantee the signal though. It does have an HDMI port that you can plug a mobile phone with a cable, firestick or similar into it. You will need to hotspot from your mobile and use your mobile contact data allowance. Betty also comes with a variety of camping gear, such as four outdoor camping chairs, two tables, collapsible steps, a windbreaker, crockery, cutlery, small pans. Please note, booking is by the day (not overnight). E.g. if you book from Mon-Fri this counts as 5 days, and will be brought back on the Friday.

Additional information

Travel Boundaries & Mileage To help us look after our beloved 20-year-old campervan, we kindly ask that you keep your adventures within the UK and avoid very long-distance trips that may put strain on her. We recommend journeys of no more than 150 miles from her home base and ask that you keep overall mileage reasonable—ideally under 500 miles per hire. This helps ensure she stays in good condition for everyone to enjoy. If you're planning a longer route, just let us know in advance so we can approve it and advise accordingly. We've found that 60mph is a good speed for Betty. She will obviously go higher than this.

Hiring rules

Please look after Betty as if she was your own. She will be come with a full tank of diesel, please ensure you return her with a full tank, and clean and tidy as you found her. There is a dustpan and brush and cleaning products. Failure to do this will incur further cleaning costs, from £10.00. She will also come with bedding for the double bed but no towels.
We're fairly flexible on pick up times, but drop off time before 6pm, unless agreed.
Hirer age restrictions (25 to 70 years)
Fuel – return filled with diesel
No offroad driving / beach driving / extended driving on gravel roads
Pull over immediately if any engine lights come on. If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe and call me or Camplify.
We do not allow the van to be taken abroad, unless prior consent is agreed.

Hire Fee: From £60.00 per day
Service fee: £25.00

Cancellations

Strict

Cancel up to 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full refund less the cancellation processing fee.
Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit.
Cancellations less than 20 days before start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.
