A converted ex-ambulance full of rustic, bohemian charm. Built as much as possible out of upcycled and reclaimed materials... a perfectly not perfect van for muddy fields and furry friends! Hand crafted, unique and extra wide owed to it being ex ambulance rambo boasts bags of room inside for rainy days as well as a hot shower post surf. The colder nights are also secure with a diesel heater you can control from bed! Rambo is quirky and eye catching and hand built out of love ❤️ Rambo is wider than normal panel vans and this can make navigating smaller coastal routes tricky if you lack the experience of driving a standard panel van. it's very common for the fibreglass panels to get damaged and paint scratched up when you lack the experience which will only cost you money in damage later on (which I want to heavily avoid for both) so please consider this before booking as I will not accept coastal routes. Rambo is retired, she's done a life of service up until 2018 and I want a slower pace for her so she's perfect for campsites, festivals, parties and pootling for no longer than 4 hours a day or 100 miles a day as I don't want to rack up the miles on her. If you want 5 days of heavy traveling to see parts of the UK she is not the right campervan for you 💕 Let’s talk furry friends! I have a large dog and am pro dogs and vanlife in symbiosis but please give me some notice so I can provide waterproof seat covers as I don’t want dogs on the existing seat covers as they are newly upholstered and cream on one side.. I also do not want dogs left in my van unattended. Vans can get hot and dogs can be naughty when bored. Finally, Kindly message me back after the first query reply, even if you change your mind, it’s fine! but ghosting me for a week isn’t. This freezes the dates on my calendar meaning I lose out on bookings when you decide not to reply to me beyond your initial enquiry and I cancel it. Be courteous. ✅ I hope to hear from you 🌿

Additional information

Due to the high damage rate, I will not approve coastal route travel requests unless you carry experience driving trucks or larger than 3.5t vehicles. Ambulances are particularly wide and unless you are an experienced driver of larger vehicles, then having just car driving experience is not suitable for these types of roads.

Hiring rules

  • No smoking allowed inside.
  • Family friendly festvials OK.
  • No pets on the sofa (they are cream on one side)
  • Im not a party bus.
  • Please bring it back reasonably clean to avoid a cleaning charge.
  • Please bring it back with a full tank of fuel.
  • Empty the toilet before returning or a fee will be incurred.
  • Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Moderate

  • Cancel up to 30 days before the start of the booking and receive a full refund less the cancellation processing fee.
  • Cancel between 30 and 10 days before the start of booking and receive 90% credit.
  • Cancellations less than 10 days before start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    This was our second booking of Rambo No. 5 and it was just as wonderful as the first time. Communication and handover with Samantha was fantastic and we'll absolutely rehire in the future. Thanks again for a great service!

    Hired Rambo No. 5 for our New Wine Festival. It was an absolute hit and provided everything we needed. I landed up cooking for the entire church group which proved to be effortless in Rambo. Sammi was brilliant an made sure the entire process was simple and easy. Thank you and hopefully we will be back next year.

    We hired Rambo to venture down to Cornwall for a long weekend which was fantastic. Rambo drives very well and is a very comfy night's sleep. Samantha has thought of everything when it comes to the fit out of Rambo, so cool and unique and the attention to detail is amazing. Thank you for letting us experience the campervan life! Samantha was extremely helpful with any queries we had regarding the booking and was there on call if required.

    The bed was so comfy plus it was great to have the fridge, solar power, lights and so much storage. A wide vehicle though, so one for confident drivers with excellent space awareness on the road.
