Nellie the Highland Campervan is perfect for exploring the beaatiful landscape and coastline of Angus Aberdeen and Moray, with access to the Highlands, Islands, Whiskey trails of Moray and Aberdeenshire, the spectacular Cairngorm National Park in summer or ski locations in winter. Looking west, the spectacular north-west coast, Ullapool, Skye, Torridon and the Outer Hebrides are a few hours drive away. And of course, the full North Coast 500 (NC500) is right on our doorstep. We have had some lovely adventures in all these areas and it has been great to hear our guests having equally enjoyable times. There are some great places to stay and we are happy to share our tips and ideas; some ideas can be found at this link - https://vanclan.co/best-places-to-visit-in-a-campervan-uk/ Nellie the campervan is easy to drive (like any regular VW car), has manual 6-speed gears, rear parking sensors and camera, along with bike rack as standard. She has winter tyres and snow-socks for when things get snowy. Nellie is fully equipped with a kitchen, including fridge, gas hobs, running water and sink; electric plug-in (when available) charges the leisure battery which powers lighting, a USB port, 12V port (and 3-pin normal plug when hooked up) - so enabling all gadgets to be charged. There is a top-quality Webasto heater that will keep you warm at night no matter how chilly it gets outside (we actually had to turn it down whilst it was -4 C outside). For the most comfortable and enjoyable van experience, we'd recommend Nellie comfortably sleeps two adults in the rock ‘n’ roll bed in the main cabin or one adult + two children in the pop-top roof. It can sleep more (we'd had 2 adults, 3 children and a dog) - but you'd better make sure you're up for some close-quarters living, or do most of your activities outside! Nellie is fully insured via the Camplify comprehensive insurance (included as part of the booking fee), and to date, we have not encountered any incidents with previous hirers. Of course, anyone who hires Nellie will be expected to treat her as you would treat your own vehicle, or as one hirer said "you take care of her and she will take care of you"! Most hires have been 3-10 days, and we usually ask for a minimum 3-day hire, but we're happy to consider shorter hires with enough notice - send us a message if you want to discuss. We can also consider longer hires (>14 days) - please contact us to discuss rates/ feasibility.

We live and work in Moray and Inverness. We love the beautiful landscapes, history and tastes of the Highlands and want help you to enjoy it too! We are within easy reach of NC500, Cairngorms national park ski centres and the Highland Whiskey trails. The west coast Skye, Glen Coe is a few hours away. So whether its leisurely sight-seeing, a winter-sports-weekend or just getting away from it all, do get in touch with any questions or special requests to see what we can do.
