Got itheres a polished review you can post: I had a great experience renting this campervan. The van was spotless, well-maintained, and super comfortable for the trip. Devon is a top guy, friendly, responsive, and always available if you need anything. The whole process was smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend!

It wasn't fit for purpose and shouldn't be let out. It was in very poor condition, internally and eternally. I didn't get off to a good start as they tried to rearrange the collection time after I had left home to collect the van so I had hang around in the street for over 30 mins for Donovan's partner to do the initial handover (they do not live when the van is kept so no house number to knock on). This meant that I ended up getting to my destination later than expected. The handover only went briefing over some of the internal aspects of the van but not the essentials about the controls and dash board etc. for driving the van. It didn't drive and handle well especially on country roads. The head restraint for the drivers seat was damaged and would have meant a serious injury in an accident. The air con didn't work so was like being in a furnace while I was driving. I wasn't told it had broken. This was not helped by the fact that they had put in one of those automatic air fresheners which pumped out scent every 15 mins or so. It was the sort of air freshener designed for a house not a small enclosed space and meant I was breathing in chemicals pumped out as it was situated directly behind the drivers seat!! Breathing it in was nauseating and made me feel unwell by the time I got to my destination. Part of a cupboard fell off while I was driving on the motorway and luckily the shock of the sudden unexpected noise didn't distract me and cause an accident! It didn't seem very clean with marks on walls and floor of shower/loo which was of putting so didn't use these as there was nothing to clean them with. Other surfaces in van were not very clean but I was able to get some basic wipes to clean the work surfaces and inside the cupboards so I could store things. The crockery and cutlery was badly stored and rattled dreadfully. The pan and frying and were unusable with burnt debris on them, the bowls and cups were also dirty. I ended up having to provide my own things to use. Even the portable gas cooker provided hadn't been checked and cleaned as covered in grease and other dirt, including bits of food! The van was not insulated. The walls by the bed just had vinyl tiles struck on (some of which were loose as was parts of the ceiling) so that by 3 am the walls were cold and made the bed cold. This was not conducive to a good nights sleep. Neither is the fact that the light streamed in at sunrise! There was supposedly a black out blind to clock out the light and provide privacy, but it was a normal window blind screwed to the bulk head, to be dropped down behind the seats. But there was no thing to pull the blind up with. It didn't even fit across the width of the seats leaving about a foot wide gap which the light streamed through hitting me straight in the eyes each morning. This also meant I felt very exposed on a campsite with others around me when trying to get dressed! Also, the side window only had a flimsy plastic covering over it which meant that if the internal lights were on, everyone outside could see straight in and this of course did nothing to stop the light coming in. All in all a disaster and not worth even half what I was charged!

We had one of Donovans vans over the last 6 days and I must it was absolutely spot on. Had everything we needed and more. Great value for money. Donovan was on the other end of the phone if we needed him for anything aslo he sent us a tutorial of the van on YouTube which is as a great touch. Thanks Donovan we will definitely be back for a few more trips. Rob.
