OUR PRIDE AND JOY ‘VERA’: • Our bespoke factory converted VW T5 camper van with unique personalised ‘T5 Family’ number plate. • 5 seatbelts for a larger family • Fitted is a new leisure battery along with mains hook up (see further down for our advice in using the leisure battery and mains hook-up) • Fitted with one 12 volt socket in the driving cab, two 12 volt sockets in the main van and also two 3 pin sockets in the main van (the 3 pin sockets only work when attached to the mains hook-up) • Sleeps 4 in the van; 2 in the pop top roof and 2 on the rock and roll bed. • Fitted with bespoke made to order branded VW tan leather and tartan seats and cushions • VW Branded LED logo on ceiling • The bespoke, made to order walnut worktops and removable/collapsible table provide lots of space for cooking preparation and playing games • Our van has been sound insulated making it lovely and warm and quiet at night. • The pop top roof has 2 large zip air vents, perfect for those hot and humid nights • Vera is fitted with a double gas hob (gas bottle provided and connected), a gas grill and a fridge with a small freezer compartment (the freezer compartment can be removed to create a larger fridge; we find a larger fridge is more convenient) • Clever cupboard storage provide space for belongings, bedding and food. • There is a large storage box under double front seat, accessed by just lifting the seat cushion, which provides ideal storage for food as it keeps all your ambient foodstuffs nice and cool and saves the other cupboard space for your belongings • There is a LED reading light in the pop top roof so children can read before bed or can just provide a comforting light during the night • Vera is fitted with internal LED lights for the evening and night time (but we also provide battery operated torches and a top-quality LED camping lantern, useful for finding your way to the toilet block during the night!!! WHY NO SINK? • Please note we decided not have Vera fitted with a sink or water pump; we didn’t want dirty water in the van or the additional weight and preferred instead to have the convenience of 2 gas hobs and additional worktop space. Therefore, you will need to use the camping/caravan sites washing-up facilities (or, like us, boil a kettle in the van and use the collapsible washing up bowl and washing up liquid provided); We will send you away with a 2 litre bottle of fresh water to get you started LEISURE BATTERY AND MAINS POWER: • In additional to mains hook-up, Vera is fitted with a new leisure battery. However, a leisure battery will only last depending on a) how often it’s being charged - it charges when attached to the mains in a caravan site or when the van is driving, and b) how much power you’re drawing from it. Don’t forget if the fridge is on and you’re using the internal lights you’ll be drawing power. The hotter the outdoor temperature the more power the fridge condenser will need to use. o Our advice would be that if you’re planning on a just a 3 night stay you might get away with just using the leisure battery without the need for mains power. ~ If you drive the van whilst you’re away you will help recharge the battery, but it takes much longer to recharge a battery than it does to use its power, but it depends on how much power you are using and how many devices are plugged in. o Any longer than 3 days we strongly advise you ensure there is mains hook-up at the caravan site, this will give you peace of mind in knowing you can use as much power you as want o We have just purchased a 2nd leisure battery which will provide a longer trip away without the need of electric hookup. However you'll need to be confident in switching the batteries over mid trip (I'll show you how to do this when you collect the van). o Just pop us a message for any advice VERA’S SPEC AND DRIVING EXPERIENCE: • 5 seat belts (the driver, plus 2 passengers in the front cab and 2 in the main van) • Manual dash mounted gearbox • Diesel • Bespoke weight bearing alloy wheels provide a great ride and smooth suspension • Apply Play and Android Play. If you have an ‘Apple’ or 'Android' device, this can be plugged into the van's USB socket and you can use the Satnav from your phone on the main screen • Radio in the front of the Van • Bluetooth connection • The engine has been remapped providing significantly more horsepower resulting in a smooth and responsive driving experience. It’s a pleasure to drive and we prefer driving Vera to our family car. • Very economical for engine size and HP WHAT DO WE SEND YOU AWAY WITH? • KITCHEN EQUIPMENT/CLEANING EQUIPMENT: o Pots and frying pans o Stove top kettle o Melamine plates, bowls and a large serving bowl o Coffee mugs o Melamine tumblers o Cutlery o Cooking utensils o Matches/lighter o Collapsible washing up bowl o Fresh water container for filling when you reach your site • FOR YOUR COMFORT: o 4 folding camping chairs and a large collapsible camping table with storage underneath o Double self-inflating mattress toper for the rock and roll bed and double self-inflating mattress for the pop top o We provide double sheets for hygiene, comfort and the protection of the interior leather for each air bed/mattress. However please provide your own bedding/sleeping bags/pillows o We have thermal reflective covers for the windscreen and front windows (this helps to insulate but more importantly keeps the van dark when sleeping). o CONSUMABLES (provided as standard): o 2 litre bottle of fresh water o Bin bags o Kitchen roll o Dish clothes and a t-towel o Washing up liquid o Disinfectant spray/wipes ANY SPECIAL REQUESTS? Are you renting Vera for a special occasion? Maybe a birthday, anniversary or even a honeymoon? If you would like any extras adding i.e. wine, champagne, flowers, chocolates, special food hamper etc., just drop us a message with what you would like and we can work with you to ensure these are here when you collect Vera (extra fees will apply). * Please note the hire does not include the awning - due to being damaged on a previous hire, we no longer rent out our drive away awning, sorry.

Hiring rules

• We love our camper and hope that you’ll love exploring in her and have a fantastic holiday. We want your time away to be as stress free as possible and hate the small print, however there are a few rules we kindly ask you to follow:
• • We kindly ask that you treat our campervan as you would your own, she’s our pride and joy
• • We don't allow smoking in the campervan any sign of smoking will incur a charge for valeting taken from the bond.
• • We know so many of you would love to take your beloved dog with you on holiday, unfortunately don’t allow pets in our van.
• • Fully Comprehensive insurance is included in the price, but please drive Vera with care as you would your own VW.
• • The hirer/driver must be aged 25 or older only the person(s) named and approved when booking can drive the camper.
• • Must hold a full license, had it for more the 24 months and not have any serious endorsements or penalties.
• • No Hen, Stag Parties or same sex groups
• • Please return Vera by 6pm on the date if return, however if you are needing to drop her back later this can potentially be arranged during the booking process
• • EMERGENCY If any engine lights come on the dashboard, pull over immediately. If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe, call Camplify on 0330 808 1811 / call the number of the breakdown service provider provided to you / call me!
• • DAMAGE If damage happens, you must report it immediately, no matter how minor and be prepared to send photos if requested who, what, where and when will be required. Please don’t wait until you return Vera to us to inform us of any damage
• • LONG TRIPS – Please let us know your travel plans before you collect Vera.
• • FUEL All hires include a full tank upon departure, the van must return with a full tank of diesel. We have a number of petrol stations within 2 miles of our address
• • CLEANING –We don’t expect you to spend your holiday constantly cleaning, however please ensure Vera is returned to us in an acceptable state with any equipment that has been used cleaned (Excessive cleaning will incur a charge)
• • Insurance requirements: Hirer age restricted to 25 70 years; Driving licences restricted to UK, EU, EEA, AU and NZ; No more than 6 points in the past 5 years for nonmajor offences.

• Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.
