AT Expedition Pop Top

Having previously owned and rented various campervans, we feel this one is the perfect setup! Being an automatic, it’s easy to drive and being relatively new it’s smooth and fuel efficient for its size. The Captains chairs up front are also really comfy! It’s ideal for our family of 4 and we make use of it at every opportunity, but would also be ideal for two couples, a group of 4 friends, or a couple looking for a bit more space and privacy. We tend to sleep in the rear bed with the kids in the pop top, but the pop top is suitable for adults too (and actually a larger bed than the downstairs one). We often sleep in it over the winter with the kids downstairs where it’s a bit warmer. We have made some post-factory upgrades, in particular added insulation, a diesel heater, and a raised rear fixed bed to provide extra storage at the rear for our outdoor kit. The van is set up for us to use all year round so comes with all the pots, crockery, cutlery etc that you’re likely to need. The van has an excellent heating and hot water system that runs off electric hook up, also a back-up gas system, and a diesel heater for use off-grid. The upgraded batteries mean that the van should be able to cope (with sensible battery usage) for at least 3 days off grid in summer. Plenty more if driving a decent distance in between stops as this recharges the battery. Another great feature of the van is the electric flushing toilet and WC compartment which is a real luxury and ideal whether off grid or parked up on a campsite. As well as of course supplying the van and providing detailed handover and instructions, we have also travelled extensively across Scotland so are happy to help you plan where to go and share some hints and tips with you if you like. If coming from afar, we also try to help with train station pick ups when we can, and supplying extra bits and pieces you might not have room to bring with you. Just ask.
