Our custom-converted Short Wheelbase (SWB) Renault Trafic Sport is a highly practical, fully equipped campervan designed for both off-grid trips and campsite stays. At just over 16 feet long, it drives much like a standard car, navigates narrow roads easily, and fits comfortably into standard parking spaces. Sleeping & Seating (Perfect for a family of 4) Rock and roll bed: Folds out to provide a flat double bed on the lower level. Pop-top roof: Allows for full standing height during the day and drops down to create a second double bed at night. Swivel seating: All 3 front seats spin to face the rear living space. Dining table: A removable table slots securely into the middle of the seating area. Kitchen & Cooking Custom-fitted kitchen: Modern cabinetry with dedicated storage for food and cooking equipment. Portable plug-in coolbox: Features both hot and cold settings to keep your food and drinks at the exact temperature you need. Portable gas stove & kettle: Offers the flexibility to cook meals and boil water inside the van or move your setup outside. Foldable fire pit: A compact, multi-use grill that doubles as a fire pit for outdoor evenings. Washing & Facilities Portable shower & tent: Includes a pop-up privacy tent for outdoor washing. Pump-powered shower system: Operates from a foldable bucket. Warm showers can easily be prepared by mixing cold water with hot water boiled from the kettle. Comfort & Styling Interior finish: Modern styling featuring wooden laminate flooring and fully insulated, carpeted walls and ceiling. Heating: A built-in diesel heater keeps the cabin warm, making the van suitable for year-round use. Lighting: Equipped with overhead LED downlights and secondary strip lighting. Power & Electrical Off-grid capability: Comes with a portable solar charger to maintain battery levels when away from facilities. Mains hookup: Includes a plugin battery charger for connecting to standard campsite power points. Entertainment Cinema setup: The van has the facilities to be equipped with a projector and screen for watching films in the back. Please note this is only available upon request in advance.

Off-Grid Power Management: If you are camping off-grid without a mains hookup, the solar panel will trickle-charge the leisure battery. However, please be mindful of your power usage, as running the plug-in coolbox and cinema projector heavily for multiple days without driving or plugging in may drain the leisure battery.

Hiring rules

  • No Smoking or Vaping: Strictly no smoking or vaping inside the van or the poptop roof area.
  • PopTop Safety: The poptop roof must be fully lowered and securely fastened down before the vehicle is driven. Please also lower the roof during high winds or heavy storms.
  • Cooking Indoors: When using the gas stove inside the van, please ensure adequate ventilation by opening a window or door. We kindly ask that you avoid cooking highly pungent foods (like fish or strong curries) inside the cabin to prevent lingering odours.
  • Pickup & Dropoff: Standard pickup is from 3:00 PM, and dropoff is by 11:00 AM. If you need different times, please message us prior to booking, and we will do our best to accommodate.
  • Fuel Policy: The van will be handed over with a full tank of diesel. Please ensure it is returned with a full tank.
  • Cleaning Expectations: We kindly ask that the van is returned in a clean and respectful condition. Please pay special attention to ensuring the portable gas stove, coolbox, and
  • BBQ/fire pit are cleaned and emptied before handover.
  • Pets: Wellbehaved pets are welcome!
  • Festivals: We are happy for the van to be taken to familyfriendly festivals, but please message us first.
  • Road Restrictions: The van is strictly for use on sealed roads, recognised campsites, and standard access tracks. No offroading, green laning, or driving on beaches.
  • Tolls & Fines: The renter is fully responsible for any toll charges, congestion charges (like ULEZ), parking fines, or traffic violations incurred during the hire period.
  • Equipment Care: Please ensure that the portable shower, tent, and BBQ/fire pit are fully cooled, clean, and dry before stowing them back inside the van to prevent dampness and odours.
  • Hirer must be 21 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.
